American musician Marion once said: "Sound is audible color, and color is visible sound".Musical experience is a complex phenomenon that may be affected by a variety of interacting factors, and it seems difficult for many people to describe their experience in general terms. And color,as a means of response, provides a non-verbal way of understanding how people respond to sound.Based on the theoretical basis of the mediating role of emotion in timbre associations, this study attempts to explore the relationship between different emotional types of music and children's sketch coloring through children's music coloring works. On the basis of pre-research,the music drawing board test program was developed and perfected, and the music coloring works of 389 second-grade children were collected by the test method. At the same time, the decision tree algorithm in educational data mining is used to construct a data index coding framework for evaluating music coloring works from the basic attributes of color(hue, brightness, saturation)and procedural data.Finally,14 effective indicators were screened out through correlation analysis results, manual discrimination and model construction exploration, and a decision tree model was constructed and analyzed for the coloring results of music coloring works. The research conclusions are as follows: 1.Music with specific emotions stimulates specific emotional feelings and can guide children to make specific color choices.2.The application of decision tree algorithm can mine the relationship between music and color.3.The basic properties of color(hue, brightness, and saturation)are important indicators that affect color mood.4.The dynamic process of children coloring while listening to music can reflect the emotions of children when coloring. The research conclusions bring some educational inspirations to the field of children's art education: the use of "music-color" synaesthesia in art teaching allows children to use color to perceive music and help them understand the emotional expression in art works;implement preschool children based on art synaesthesia.Comprehensive art education courses;design and development of children's educational products based on art synaesthesia.
