The concept of human-earth coordination is one of the core competencies of geography, and the observation and evaluation of human-earth coordination is a hot research issue in the current geographic education field. The college entrance examination is an important method of education evaluation. The system and analysis of the test papers reflect the important orientation of geography learning and education. At present, the existing research focuses more on the ability issue in the proposition of the college entrance examination, and there is less research on the evaluation of each specific literacy.Based on the connotation and level requirements of the concept of human-earth coordination in the new curriculum standard, this paper establishes an analysis framework for college entrance examination questions from the core literacy level, and analyzes and studies the observation and evaluation of human-earth coordination in the college entrance examination questions.By analyzing the status quo of the assessment in the test questions, put forward reasonable proposition strategies,in order to better cultivate, improve and scientifically assess the students’ human-earth coordination literacy in practice. This paper uses the method of literature research, statistical analysis and case study, based on the theory of educational measurement and evaluation, according to the connotation and composition of the concept of human-earth coordination, and guided by the Chinese college entrance examination evaluation system,to develop a test question analysis framework for human-earth coordination observation and evaluation. The analysis framework includes four aspects: evaluation content, evaluation direction, context carrier and evaluation level. In terms of content,it clarifies the specific inspection requirements of the three aspects of the influence of geographical environment on people, the influence of human on the geographical environment, and human-earth coordination.Combining the necessary qualities and key abilities, four evaluation directions of basic, applied, speculative and innovative are proposed.According to the source of the test questions, there are two types of situations: life practice situations and learning exploration situations. The evaluation level is mainly based on the training level of the curriculum standards, and the formulation of the analysis framework is completed.According to the analysis framework,a total of 42 sets of national college entrance examination questions in the nearly two decades since the curriculum reform from 2001 to 2021 were selected, and the following conclusions were drawn by screening and analyzing the questions that examine the relationship between human and earth:(1)The concept of human-earth coordination has been reflected in the test questions before the concept of core literacy was put forward, but the test scores and content are less. After the change of question type in 2011 and the promulgation of new curriculum standards in 2017,the proportion of the examination of human-earth coordination has increased significantly and stabilized at 30-40 points. In the changes of test questions in the past two decades, the emphasis on the examination of human-earth relationship has gradually increased, and the subjectivity has also been significantly enhanced.(2)The test questions comprehensively and deeply examine the three aspects of the concept of human-earth coordination. It attaches great importance to students’ basic ability and application ability, and the creativity and dialectics in the current test question design need to be further strengthened.Life practice situations account for a large proportion, and learning and exploration problems are less combined.Among the test level requirements, the three points of level account for the largest proportion, followed by the second level. The ability requirements for core literacy are at a medium level, and the level four tests required by the curriculum standards are still limited. Finally, combined with the analysis results, the following proposition strategies are put forward: the test questions are based on ability and literacy, and strengthen the examination of the concept of human-earth coordination. The selection of materials focuses on life and academic issues, expands the source of materials, and builds a real and in-depth situation. The proposition design is structured, focusing on the logical research issues of geography, highlighting the regional, comprehensive and dialectical nature of the relationship between human and earth. The question chain is set up in the test questions, and the examination of the relationship between human and earth is hierarchical.Innovate the way of examining the relationship between human and earth, and implement an open and comprehensive evaluation. The concept of human-earth coordination has been paid more and more attention in the examinations over the years, and there is still room for improvement in the proposition.Looking forward to the further establishment of a complete, efficient and standardized evaluation standard and system.Realize scientific and effective evaluation of human-earth coordination literacy, and improve students’ core literacy.
