Persistence and concentration are the important contents of children’s learning quality,and the essential learning quality that runs through children’s learning and life.Cultivating children’s persistence and concentration ability in the middle class can not only take advantage of the cultivation advantages in the critical period,but also enrich the relevant theories on the cultivation of children’s persistence and concentration ability,and provide examples for future research.Idiom stories can be said to be condensed history,which originated from historical events,stories of predecessors,fables and legends,etc.Using concise words to tell the truth of dealing with people,learning idioms will help children gain knowledge and broaden their horizons.In this study,children in two middle classes were randomly selected from a public kindergarten in Qingdao as experimental objects.Eight Chinese idiom story picture books with persistence and concentration connotation were selected in the experimental class.Through the theme activities of idiom story picture books,children were helped to learn the connotation of idiom stories and the character of the hero’s will,and their persistence and concentration ability were subtly improved.Study natural experiment method.First of all,the bean-picking situational test is used to pre-test the persistence and concentration ability of two classes of children,and score.Secondly,in the experimental class,the theme activities of idiom story picture books were intervened for eight weeks.Routine teaching activities are carried out in the control class without other intervention.Finally,after the intervention of the theme activity of picture books,the level of persistence and concentration of children in two classes is post-tested.The results show that: 1.Idioms,stories and picture books theme activities can effectively improve the persistence and concentration ability of middle class children.2.The level of middle-class children’s concentration dimension has improved rapidly,followed by persistence dimension and anti-frustration dimension.According to the educational results,the following educational suggestions are put forward: 1.Teachers carefully select picture books,and pay attention to hierarchy and pertinence.2.Extension activities should play an auxiliary role in teaching activities.3.Promote teachers’ teaching level by improving the teaching and research level of the kindergarten. |
