With the rapid development of the field of life science and the continuous emergence of innovative achievements,the frontier knowledge of biology has been gradually attached importance to.The Biology Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017Edition and 2020 Revision)put forward the requirements to pay attention to the new progress of life science.A column entitled "Advances in Biotechnology" has been set in the high school biology textbooks of PEP 2019.Integrating cutting-edge knowledge of biology into practical teaching and giving full play to its value can not only promote multi-angle teaching,enrich biology class,but also lead students to deepen their understanding of the nature of science.Firstly,the author defines the concept of frontier knowledge of biology subject,analyzes its characteristics and educational value,and expounds relevant learning theories through literature review.At the same time,in order to understand the teaching status of the frontier knowledge of biology,the questionnaire and interview methods were used to survey the teachers and students.The results showed that the teachers and students were interested in the frontier knowledge of biology,but due to time and other constraints,they could not be well integrated into the actual teaching.Then,combining with the current situation,this paper puts forward the principles and strategies of integrating the frontier knowledge of biology into high school biology teaching,and carries out practical research in the first grade of H high school in *** county.The practical content includes carrying out interest group activities,integrating the frontier knowledge of biology into the teaching of new class and review class,and carrying out special class activities.Finally,the practical effect is evaluated.The research shows that the integration of frontier knowledge of biology can improve students' learning interest.In terms of learning motivation,the practical value of biological knowledge is more recognized,and the curiosity is stimulated.In addition,students' performance in biology has also improved,as shown by a gradual increase in the number of students with relatively high academic performance and an increase in class average.The integration of frontier knowledge of biology discipline into teaching plays a positive role in stimulating students' interest in learning,but also has some limitations.It is necessary to fully consider and attach importance to the learning situation,and integrate the frontier knowledge of biology discipline into the teaching process in a timely and appropriate manner,so as to give full play to its positive role.
