Classical Chinese is the ideological collection and carrier of Chinese civilization,as well as a good educational textbook in China.The middle school stage(grade 7-9)is very important in the learning process of classical Chinese.Through the learning of classical Chinese,students can feel the charm of Chinese language and characters,which is beneficial for students to inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture.In this paper,38 classical Chinese writings(excluding ancient poems)in some Chinese textbooks for junior middle schools are taken as the research object,and the multi-modal teaching concept is introduced to discover the problems existing in the traditional classical Chinese teaching methods.Through specific data,the causes of the problems are analyzed and the correct conclusions are drawn.This paper is mainly composed of four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the origin of the research,the background of the topic,the purpose and significance of the research,the research status and research ideas and methods.This part is to determine the goal of studying classical Chinese teaching methods by reading relevant literature,find the problems in traditional classical Chinese teaching methods,and put forward corresponding solutions.The second part,mainly from the basic connotation of multimodal teaching,theoretical basis and main characteristics of the concept of multimodal teaching is summarized,and through the characteristics of classical Chinese teaching,the requirements of the new curriculum standard and the advantages of multimodal teaching in the application of multimodal teaching method in classical Chinese teaching basis.In the third part,this chapter mainly uses the form of questionnaire survey to investigate the multi-modal teaching of classical Chinese in junior middle school,and finds out the existing problems in classical Chinese teaching by analyzing the data,laying a foundation for putting forward effective solutions to the existing problems in the following.The fourth part is the core part of this paper,first put forward the implementation principle of multi-modal teaching applied in classical Chinese teaching classroom,under the premise of following the principle,put forward the basic implementation strategy of multi-modal teaching in classical Chinese teaching in junior middle school.Starting from the teaching design,the multi-mode teaching is applied to every classroom activity,so as to comprehensively improve students' ability to learn Classical Chinese.
