China’s 2017 "opinions on deepening the Reform of the Educational system and Mechanism" continues to clearly emphasize the importance of key capabilities,which refer to a high-level ability to solve complex problems in unfamiliar situations.The cultivation of key capabilities can enable people to face the needs of future development.As a natural science,biology plays an important role in school education,so it also has indispensable value for the study of key biological competencies.This paper is mainly divided into six chapters,first introduces the background of the research,the current situation of the research on "key competence" at home and abroad,the research process and methods,and the significance of the research.The practice is divided into two parts: first,the test tools are tested,the data results are analyzed by SPSS and Rasch models,and the evaluation tools are further revised and perfected according to the test results.It is not until the test tool has high reliability and validity and conforms to the Rasch model.The results were as follows :43% of the students had the overall performance level in critical biology abilities.At the second level,40 per cent of the students were at the second level;at the first level,the largest percentage of the students were at the second level in terms of understanding,experimental inquiry and problem-solving skills;at the highest level,fewer students were at the second level;at the different levels of school,there were significant differences in the performance of the students’ biological key abilities,and the students’ performance of the first-level schools was better than that of the second-level schools;and there were no significant differences in the other three key abilities except in the innovation ability of the students of different genders.The ultimate goal of the realization of key ability still needs to serve the school and classroom,so according to the evaluation results,the corresponding teaching suggestions can be provided for the first-line teaching in the expression of long sentences and the cultivation of key abilities.It is of great significance to carry out the consistency of "teaching-learning-evaluation" through the evaluation of key competencies and to provide practical basis for the research and development of key competencies evaluation tools in biology.
