With the socialism with Chinese characteristics entering a new era and the increasingly close international exchanges,China’s economy,culture and education are facing many new opportunities and challenges.Applying the thought of supply-side reform to the field of education is conducive to implementing educational equity,optimizing educational choices and solving educational problems.The political course in senior middle school is the key course to implement the fundamental task of educating people by virtue.It plays an important role in improving students’ political literacy,cultivating students’ moral quality and promoting students’ all-round development.In this paper,from the angle of the supply side,taking the current situation of supply and demand of high school ideological and political course as the breakthrough point,the author comprehensively analyzes the problems and causes existing in the whole supply and demand process of high school ideological and political course teaching supply by literature research,questionnaire survey and interview,and puts forward the principles and paths for the optimization of high school political course teaching.Firstly,this paper expounds the connotation of supply-side reform,education supply-side reform and the basis and significance of optimizing the teaching of political course,and analyzes the great significance to implement the fundamental task of cultivating people with virtue,promote students’ all-round development and improve classroom teaching effect of the teaching.Secondly,in this paper,during the investigation of the present situation of ideological and political teaching supply and demand in five high schools in J city,this paper sorts out five existing problems.namely,the teaching of ideological and political courses in senior high schools is blurry from the society,the teaching content is relatively thin,students’ cognition is relatively subjective,the supply of teachers is relatively one-sided and the teaching method is relatively simple.It also analyzes the reason from five aspects: the lack of close connection between the teaching of high school ideological and political courses and social life,the insufficient development of teaching resources,the poor understanding of the educated,the improvement of the teaching staff and the urgent innovation of teaching methods.Then,on the foundation of the four tenets of the unity of value and learning,the unity of debate and practice,the unity of unity and diversity,and the unity of indoctrination and inspiration,research puts forward that the path should be to deepen the connection between ideological and political teaching and society,meet social requirements,tap the teaching resources of ideological and political teaching,enrich the teaching content,reverse the cognitive deviation of the educated,make up for the lack of understanding,strengthen the management of political teachers,improve the teaching level,ensure the diversification of teaching methods and enhance teaching effect.Finally,taking "Great Reform and Opening-up",the first box of the third class of the compulsory course "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics" as an example,the study has carried out a detailed case design on the teaching optimization of ideological and political courses in senior high schools under the supply side-view threshold,so that the study can be truly implemented and the teaching of ideological and political courses in senior high schools can be developed and optimized under the supply side-view threshold.
