Ancient poetry is the highlight that can never be neglected of Chinese teaching on account of its outstanding contribution in building humanistic sensibility,cultivating aesthetic taste and carrying forward the fine traditions of culture.However,various problems are exposed in the aspect of ancient poetry teaching.Based on the various current problems in Chinese ancient poetry teaching,this paper strives to advance reform as well as improve efficiency in the aspect of Chinese ancient poetry teaching.In addition,the study strives for introducing not only a scientific but also an efficient theme-based teaching mode into the middle school class,bringing theme-based teaching in the ancient poetry realm.Theme teaching is at the core of Dou Guimei Teaching Thought,throwing an emphasis on a multilateral teaching mode which can integrate the scattered knowledge,transcend the subject limits and root in the real life.Therefore,the theme-based Chinese ancient poetry has highly valued sense as the matter of practice mode and teaching thought.Firstly,this study sets out the background as well as the significance of the topic on the approach of the literature study,questionnaire investigation and case analysis.Based on the present situation of the recent theme-based teaching,this study analyses and comments in the aspects of "Chinese thematic teaching research" and "Chinese poems theme teaching research" clarifying the theme teaching theory and practice of research that depict a combined sketch of practice mode and teaching thought prominently.Then it discusses the theoretic basis and practical demand of theme-based teaching ofancient poetry in junior high school.Based on the Meaningful Learning Theory and Humanism Theory by D.P.Ausubel,the teaching prolongs with the foundation of scientific reference and theoretical basis.Meanwhile,the thematic teaching of ancient poetry meets the realistic needs such as the rising proportion of ancient poetry,the outstanding elements of textbooks and the promotion of traditional culture.Moreover,take the form of questionnaire investigation about the teaching level in PKU Peiwen Guiyang international school and analyze the results in an all-round way,it shows the long-dangled main problems between teachers and students that consist of things like the weakness on courses by teachers,misuses of themes,oneness of class comments,the low status of students,the lack learning interests and vagueness of learning target.From all the above,as far as PKU Peiwen Guiyang international school concerned,this study sets foot in three aspects that are theme choosing,teaching process and teaching consolidation,discussing strategies of upgrading Chinese thematic teaching.It also aims to come up with practical advice for first-line teaching by combining specific samples deeply.What we can do now is reflecting the shortage of this study and making deeper hope for Chinese poems theme teaching.In a nutshell,the research on the thematic teaching of ancient poetry aims to put the theory into practice,solving the problems of existing in the thematic teaching of ancient poetry,and providing teaching measures for the teaching of ancient poetry that may effectively improve students' s Chinese cultivation as well as the appreciation level of teachers that can lay a solid foundation of process of Chinese ancient poetry theme teaching in future.
