Ancient Chinese poetry in high school language textbooks is the essence extracted from China's traditional culture.It bears profound traditional cultural values,but also contains cultural passwords which are tacit but not easy to tell.In the process of education and teaching,after the investigation and observation of the classroom teaching of ancient poetry and prose in senior high school,the author finds that the problems of teachers' single teaching method of ancient poetry and prose,and the students lack the passion of learning ancient poetry and prose which lead to the difficulty in improving the classroom efficiency of ancient poetry and prose teaching in senior high school.How to help students overcome the learning obstacles of ancient poetry and prose,strengthen students' poetry reading foundation in the teaching process,and comprehensively improve students' humanistic quality has become an urgent direction for high school Chinese educators.With the gradual deepening of China's educational reform,the theory of multiple intelligences proposed by Howard Gardner,a psychologist at Harvard University,has been widely used in the education and training of different stages and disciplines.In the theory of multiple intelligences,Howard Gardner believes that everyone's intelligence is a different combination of a variety of unique intelligence,and there are differences in the intelligence of different individuals.Teachers can help students overcome their obstacles in learning ancient poetry only by paying attention to analyzing each student,stimulating students' superior intelligence,and strengthening students' inferior intelligence.Intelligence is not only a theory but a practical dynamic way.It needs to cultivate students by combining theory with practice.The theory of multiple intelligences is an important theoretical basis to guide teachers to renew their ideas and guide students to recognize themselves.Only by renewing the teaching concept can teachers give full play to their leading role,change the teaching method from single to multiple,and respect the differences of students.When students' learning methods are further changed,thelearning of ancient poetry and prose willchange from "passive acceptance" to "active exploration",and thens tudents willlearn the traditional culture of the motherland easily and happily.This paper is divided into four chapters? In the introduction part,this paper briefly introduces the background and significance of the topic,summarizes the research status at home and abroad,clear research ideas and methods.The first chapter is mainly about the definition of the concept,explaining the theoretical basis of this article,"the Theory of multiple intelligences”,and the practical scope," the teaching of ancient poetry and prose in high school”,and comparing the multi-intelligence concept with the traditional intelligence concept,it emphasizes that people's learning ability is closely related to the different combinations of the eight intelligences.The second chapter analyzes the necessity and feasibility of Theory of multiple intelligences guiding the teaching of ancient poetry and prose.First,this paper combines the questionnaire survey to understand the dilemma of the classroom teaching of ancient poetry and prose in senior middle school and draws the conclusion that both teachers and students lack the theoretical guidance of multiple intelligences,the feasibility of different intelligences guiding the teaching of ancient poetry and prose is obtained.The third chapter is the teaching principles and application strategies of Theory of multiple intelligences in ancient poetry teaching.Firstly,it emphasizes that teachers should follow the principles of selectivity,process and tolerance when organizing teaching.The implementation strategy is divided into four steps,namely,understanding students' intelligence constitution and developing learning plan;focusing on teaching content and defining teaching objectives;selecting appropriate tools and defining the methods of use;determining teaching sequence and developing teaching practice;and multi-element teaching evaluation,reflect on the effectiveness of teaching.The Fourth Chapter is the conclusion and reflection of this study.The results show that the use of Theory of multiple intelligences can stimulate students' interest in learning ancient poems and prose,widen the ways of learning ancient poems and prose,and improve the efficiency of learning ancient poems and prose.At the same time,it puts forward higher requirements for teachers' professional quality,challenges the traditional teaching evaluation methods,and provides an improvement direction for the further study of ancient poetry teaching in senior high school.
