With the progress of modern society,people have shifted their emphasis on knowledge to the requirements for the development of all aspects of personal abilities.Pure classroom knowledge teaching can no longer meet this requirement.Gorky once said: Books are the ladder of human progress,so sufficient reading needs to be done outside the classroom.It is worth noting that reading is not only a learning activity for Chinese and English subjects,but also reading activities for mathematics subjects..By consulting relevant domestic and foreign literature,the author found that there are relatively few studies on the extracurricular reading of mathematics for elementary school students,and the research on the lower part of the elementary school is even more lacking.Therefore,I hope that through a series of surveys of the investigated schools,the lower part of the study can be studied.The status quo of mathematics reading of primary school students,and the corresponding guidance strategies are put forward according to the cause,which will bring certain enlightenment to the training of extracurricular reading of mathematics in the lower elementary school of the school.Mathematics extracurricular reading is an activity process in which pupils perceive,understand and memorize mathematics reading text based on their own knowledge and experience,so as to realize the personal construction of mathematical meaning.Mathematics extracurricular reading has the value of cultivating students' mathematics literacy,improving their mathematics learning ability,cultivating good mathematics learning habits,increasing students' interest in learning,and training students' thinking ability.The author investigates the four dimensions of pupils' low-level mathematics extracurricular reading reading awareness,reading materials,reading environment,and teachers' reading guidance,and compiles a questionnaire to investigate the low-level mathematics students,and learns that the current students lack correct mathematics extracurricular reading.Cognition,unscientific choice of mathematics extracurricular reading materials,lack of effective mathematics extracurricular reading guidance,and poor mathematics extracurricular reading environment are four problems.The author believes that the causes of the above problems are the uneven reading materials outside the classroom,the unclear understanding of the relevant personnel about the outside reading of mathematics,and the insufficient preparation of the school and the teachers about the outside reading of mathematics.Finally,the author proposes strategies to guide low-level pupils in mathematics reading from the following aspects: first,relevant personnel need to correctly understand mathematics extracurricular reading,second,select reading materials suitable for students' cognitive level,and third,from reading habits and reading skills Strengthen the guidance of students' extracurricular reading in mathematics,fourth is to create an environment suitable for reading,fifth is to increase the form of extracurricular reading,and sixth is to establish an appropriate evaluation mechanism.
