This study mainly uses the literature method to sort out the current situation of geography experiment and geography practical ability research,and uses the questionnaire to understand the main problems existing in the development of geography experiment teaching and the cultivation of geography practical ability in senior high school.On this basis,it condenses the principles and methods of high school geography classroom experiment design,classifies and designs 20 high school geography classroom experiment cases and applies them to geography classroom teaching.Through one-year empirical research on geography education and teaching,it is verified that high school geography classroom experiment plays a key role in the cultivation of Geography practical ability.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: first,the principles of geography classroom experiment design in senior high school include geography principle,pedagogy principle,operability principle,timeliness principle,goal principle and inquiry principle.Second,the methods that can be used in the experimental design of geography classroom in senior high school include goal-oriented method,geography practice force oriented method,learning situation oriented method,the combination of virtual and reality method and indoor and outdoor combination method.Third,according to the above principles and methods,20 high school geography classroom experimental cases,including observation,identification,drawing and production,demonstration and simulation,investigation and examination,it can provide experimental case reference for senior high school geography teachers to carry out geography experimental teaching.The research shows that high school geography classroom experimental teaching is a very effective way to cultivate students' Geography practical ability.In order to ensure the geography classroom experiment,we must design the geography classroom experiment in advance according to scientific principles and methods.
