The emergence of "left-behind children" in China has been 20 or 30 years.With the prosperity of society and the development of economy,the number of left-behind children has not decreased,but is still increasing.Moreover,due to the particularity brought by the family environment,they are faced with more puzzles and problems in their growth than non-left-behind children.Whether the left-behind children can grow up healthily is not only related to the future of the "small family",but also related to the future of the society "big family".However,in the current situation of insufficient social care and absence of family care for left-behind children,school care shows its dominant role in the education and management of left-behind children.Nel Noddings,the famous contemporary American educator,is the integrator of the ethic of caring,she has an in-depth analysis and research on the ethic of care,Noddings’ caring ethic advocates that school education should take care as its purpose,this idea coincides with the ideal of caring for left-behind children in China’s educational environment,therefore,bringing Noddings’ caring ethic into the school management of left-behind children in China,it can not only strengthen the effectiveness of school management in the individual growth of left-behind children,it also helps to expand the theoretical scope of Noddings’ thought of caring education.Based on Nodding’s theory of care,this paper investigates and studies the current situation of care and management of left-behind children in S Primary School by comprehensive use of questionnaires,interviews and other research methods,and finds that there are some problems in the management process of left-behind children in rural schools,such as:lack of caring curriculum,lack of life management and difficulty in establishing caring relationship show that rural schools lack the proper meaning for left-behind children.Secondly,combining with the theory of care,the researchers analyzed the current situation from the school level,the teacher level and the student level,and traced the causes of the current situation to the source.Finally,on the basis of practical investigation and theoretical analysis,the enlightenment obtained from this study is put forward from different perspectives: rural schools should actively practice care;Cultivating "caring person" in caring relationship;The characteristics of school care management are summed up under the rational reflection. |
