Chemistry is known as a highly practical subject.This study focuses on the application of chemical knowledge,and gives the definition of subject applied knowledge.Based on extensive literature on chemical teaching materials and the application of chemical knowledge,this study constructs an analysis framework about subject applied knowledge from categories,presentation forms and educational functions.After coding and analyzing the subject applied knowledge in the textbooks,gets the following conclusions:(1)the applied knowledge about life practice is the most frequent,whose presentation form is also very diverse,and it is mostly used to create situations and help content understanding.(2)The applied knowledge about social development and environmental protection is mostly presented in columns,and it plays an important role in understanding the value of chemistry and implementing the core literacy.(3)The applied knowledge about industrial and agricultural production has multiple occurrences in the textbook,and most of them are direct exposition of subject knowledge content.(4)Compulsory and selective compulsory textbooks differ greatly in the quantity,distribution and educational function of subject applied knowledge.Through the interview of teachers,it is found that the starting point of teachers' attention to the subject applied knowledge is mainly exam-oriented,and they pay less attention to the educational value of the subject applied knowledge itself.At the same time,teachers' teaching methods of subject applied knowledge mostly refer to the presentation of the textbook.However,because of various factors,the multiple educational function of subject applied knowledge has not been well played in teaching.Based on the analysis of the textbook,three suggestions are put forward to optimize the compilation of the subject applied knowledge in the textbook:(1)enrich the subject applied knowledge in the selective compulsory textbook and improve its diversity and balance.(2)Increase student activities related to subject applied knowledge and improve the operability of the activities.(3)The content of teaching materials should be organized according to the context of subject applied knowledge to provide guidance for teachers' teaching.Meanwhile,teachers should also skillfully use extracurricular time to carry out students' activities based on subject applied knowledge,and create teaching situations by rational use of subject applied knowledge.
