Extra-curricular reading promotes students ’physical and mental development and enriches students’ spiritual world.Extraccurricular reading ability also reflects students’learning ability,develop good extracurricular reading habits,and help to establish the idea of lifelong learning.For students in rural boarding primary schools,they have been in school for a long time and the school management mode is strictly closed.extracurricular reading can optimize their hearts,their horizons expanded,temperament cultivated,and enrich life.To a certain extent,it also contributes to the improvement of academic performance and the consolidation of knowledge."New Class Standard" put forward clear requirements for the extracurricular reading of primary school students,therefore,to explore the rural boarding system The extracurricular reading of primary school students is very practical significance.Based on the combing of literature at home and abroad,a rural boarding primary school in Longhe Town,Sucheng District,Suqian City was investigated by using the literature survey method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.The full text is divided into five parts.The first one is divided into the core concepts of extracurricular reading in rural boarding primary schools,which mainly includes two concepts:extracurricular reading and rural boarding primary school,combined with the specific situation of Suqian City,the extracurricular reading situation of rural boarding primary school students is roughly expounded.Then,the particularity of the rural boarding primary school students’ extracurricular reading is elaborated from the three aspects of the school,the teachers and the students.Second,third Based on the reality,some investigated the extracurricular reading status and analyzed of rural boarding primary school students in Suqian from the four dimensions of students’ interest and habits,extracurricular reading selection,reading volume and time,and reading methods as the starting point.Through investigations and interviews with local teachers,students and parents in Suqian,the problems existing in extracurricular reading of students in rural boarding primary schools are summarized.It mainly includes:rural boarding students are not strong interest in extracurricular reading,unscientific habits,blind,not diverse choice,less extracurricular reading,short time,rural boarding students are poor at the use of reading methods and communication,etc.Part 4 on The problems existing in boarding primary school students in Suqian City were analyzed and the restrictive factors were analyzed.On the basis of the previous research,the improvement of teachers,schools and social education environment.The author hope that through the study,can cause schools,families,students and society to rural boarding primary school students extracurricular reading,let rural left-behind children,extracurricular books,extracurricular reading,good extracurricular reading,enjoy extracurricular reading,in order to achieve the purpose of rural boarding primary school students comprehensive quality improvement.
