Yueyang Junior High School Academic Proficiency Examination is a final examination independently set by Yueyang City.It has the task of selecting talents and providing talents for different high schools.It undertakes the heavy burden of auditing teaching quality and curriculum evaluation,and is also the guidance of classroom teaching.Chinese as "the mother of the encyclopedia",is an important subject in the high school entrance examination.Modern reading takes up a large proportion in Chinese high school entrance examination and is the focus of Chinese education and teaching.This thesis studies the modern essay reading test questions of Yueyang Chinese middle school examination in recent ten years,analyzes and summarizes the characteristics and main problems of the test questions,and probes into whether the test questions meet the curriculum standards and the requirements of "new curriculum reform",which can provide reference for junior high school reading test questions and junior high school reading teaching.Through the analysis of the test materials of the modern essay reading test of Yueyang Chinese middle school entrance examination from 2010 to 2019,it is found that the test questions pay attention to the basic knowledge examination,pay attention to the effective processing of text information,pay attention to the taste of language and the overall perception,and close to the reality of students' life.To a great extent,it has reached the requirements of the new curriculum reform.However,in the aspect of proposition,there is a single style of selection,ignoring foreign works;Question stem language is not standard,part of the question stem lack of context;The test ability is relatively unitary and so on.In view of these problems,this thesis puts forward some propositional suggestions that the selection of essays should carry out the classics and The Times,pay attention to the scientific nature of propositional language and strive to realize the new transformation of modern reading,and puts forward some reading teaching suggestions to study the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education,understand the students' actual reading ability,attach importance to reading experience and personalized reading.
