The new situation of basic education has put forward new requirements for teachers’ teaching philosophy and teaching mode,and "heterogeneous teaching in the same course" as a teaching mode is undoubtedly an effective exploration.‘Heterogeneous teaching for the same subject’ in the broad sense means that different teachers adopt different teaching procedure for the same subject,showing the mixture of similarities and differences in the activities of teaching design and the teaching practice.Personalized concepts and different teaching strategies collide and sublimate,opening up observers’ teaching ideas.The foreign novels in Chinese textbooks for senior high school are very representative of foreign literature and culture,which is of great benefit to the cultivation of students’ sentiment,the expansion of vision and the enhancement of aesthetic ability.Therefore,the study of heterogeneous teaching for the same foreign novel in Chinese classes for senior high school will undoubtedly further optimize the teaching strategy of foreign novels.This article is based on the Chinese lesson ‘The Man in a Case’ for senior high school and four excellent teachers’ teaching practice,comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences in terms of teaching objectives,teaching content,teaching methods and teaching concept,so as to get inspiration and finally explore the ways to realize high-quality and highly effective teaching of foreign novels,which is to set up the scientific teaching idea,strengthen the teachers’ foreign literature accomplishment,rationally develop the value of text teaching and form the teachers’ personalized teaching style.According to the dissection of four top teachers’ heterogeneous teaching of ‘The Man in a Case’,the teaching wisdom of famous teachers can be used for reference to enlighten the teaching of foreign novels and further develop the teaching ideas of foreign novels in Chinese course in senior high school.
