With the continuous deepening and promotion of senior high school geography curriculum standards,the importance of geography practice activities has become more and more prominent.The basic concept of "cultivating students' essential geography core literacy" was clearly put forward in the general senior high school geography curriculum standards(2017 Edition).One of the important means to cultivate students' Geography core literacy is to carry out geography practice activities.Therefore,it is necessary to actively carry out geographical practice activities to adapt to the new curriculum standards.At the same time,geography has a strong practicality,and the study of many theoretical knowledge requires students to deepen and understand in the process of practical operation.In the process of practice,students' geographical practical skills should be improved,and their innovative thinking and practical operation ability should be cultivated.It is very important for students to understand the subject knowledge and develop their abilities in many aspects to carry out geography practice activities.Therefore,in geography teaching,it is very necessary to organize and carry out geography practice activities.However,due to the influence of the assessment and evaluation system,it ignores the training and cultivation of students' practical operation ability and does not pay attention to the organization and development of practice teaching,which leads to some problems in the development of geography practice activities.Therefore,it is of great significance to explore the factors that hinder the teaching of geography practice activities,promote the organization and implementation of geographical practical activities teaching,and improve the teaching quality and effect of geography practice activities.Based on the discovery learning theory,life education theory and learning pyramid theory,this paper makes a comprehensive investigation on the teaching status of geography practical activities in senior high school in Yantai by using the methods of literature,questionnaire and classroom observation,and analyzes the problems and deficiencies in the implementation of geography practice teaching,According to the specific problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding promotion strategies,and designs the teaching cases of geographical practical activities on this basis,so as to promote the effective development of geographical practical activities teaching.After investigation and analysis,it was found that the current situation of Geography Practice Teaching in Yantai high school was not optimistic,and there were still some problems: Students' participation in geography practice was not enough;Geographical practice was more important than form,which was not deep enough;The practice of geography lacked planning;The objective conditions were difficult to break through,and the geographical practice activities were insufficient;Lacked of timely feedback and perfect evaluation system.In view of these problems,further analysis of the main reasons,and on this basis,put forward the corresponding promotion strategy: adhere to the students as the main body,improve students' participation;We should carefully design the links of geographical practice activities toeffectively improve the teaching effect;Create conditions for the development of geographical practice activities;Improving teachers' practical teaching ability through multiple ways;Establish a perfect evaluation system of geographical practice activities.Finally,combined with the relevant strategies,a teaching case of geographical practice activity with the theme of "measuring the longitude and latitude and noon sun height in Zhifu district" is designed.In order to explain how the corresponding strategies proposed in this study are applied in geography teaching,and really provide some teaching reference for front-linegeography teachers to better organize geography practice activities.
