"Cheerful Reading Corner"(CRC),as a representatively new part for "bring extracurricular reading into class",is an important bridge for reading communication inside and outside the class.However,facing this new part,there are issues appearing in both learning and teaching,which need addressing.It has become the focus that worth every Chinese teacher's attention,how to properly apply CRC column in enhancing students' reading ability and hence,learning sensitivity.This student-based CRC teaching means that students are the main character in reading activities,in which a bond among students also relates them to texts and teachers,constructing a so-called reading community.In order to make proper use of the CRC column and create the reading community in class and comprehensively improve students' reading literacy,this paper focuses on presenting the following four parts of the CRC column to investigate reading education practice,in addition to the introduction and conclusion:The first chapter is the interpretation about CRC in senior grades of the primary school.It mainly analyzes the column of CRC in those grades,combs and grasps its arrangement characteristics and book selection characteristics,so as to clarify the teaching requirements of this section.The second chapter does research on the status of CRC teaching in senior grades of primary schools.Aimed to find more about students' reading and learning of a whole book,additionally,the teaching in practice when conducting CRC and the feasibility of building the class reading community,the author approached the front-line teachers and students,and performed investigation and research in the form of questionnaires and interviews.The third chapter shows the teaching principles of the CRC.To build reading community in senior primary school grades and conduct CRC educational activities,reading ability of students in our school should be fully considered,cognitive level,etc.,the arrangement of reading activities is supposed to follow the principle of interaction,diversity and reading time planning should guarantee its continuity,integrity,while the method of reading guides attaches great importance to the practicality and autonomy.The fourth chapter is the most important part of this paper.Combined with layout and text-choosing of CRC in primary school,to eliminate students' lack of time,activities and guidance,etc.in extracurricular reading,based on our school's actual situation,this chapter will establish a class holding a reading community and research the CRC teaching in higher grades,from three aspects,as reading habit,reading interest and reading ability.In this chapter,the first sub-section is to help students cultivate good reading habits by scheduling reading properly and making reading plans in advance.The second sub-section is to arouse students' interest in reading to a large extent,by creating an environment suitable for reading in school,selecting right books and carrying out various reading activities.As the overall planning and guidance for each stage,the third sub-section introduces four types of classes with reading instructions,including introduction class,communication class,demonstration class and extension class,where teachers manage to help students read in cooperation and with parents.
