The "Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education Mathematics(2011)" regards "geometric intuition" as one of the ten core concepts of mathematics,and expounds the meaning of geometric intuition.It is believed that geometric intuition can make complex mathematical problems vivid and intuitive.It can help students clarify their ideas for problem-solving and explore effective problem-solving methods.It can be seen from this that the country attaches great importance to the development of elementary and middle school students' geometric intuition ability.In addition,for elementary students whose thinking development is in the transition from concrete thinking to abstract thinking,the cultivation of geometric intuition is particularly important for them.Using geometric intuition can help elementary students understand abstract mathematical content in an intuitive way.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the current situation of students' geometric intuition ability,and to train students' geometric intuition ability in a targeted manner based on the survey results.This research mainly adopts the methods of test,interview and educational experiment,the research tool is the geometric intuition ability test paper,and the survey objects are the fourth grade students of K Primary School in Chongqing.First,analyze the present situation of students' geometric intuition ability based on the results of the test.Second,prepare an interview outline and interview the fourth grade math teachers of the school to know teachers' ability of teaching geometry intuition.Third,Design a training program for fourth-grade students,select two homogeneous classes in the fourth grade as the experimental objects,and carried out the experimental research on cultivating the geometric intuition ability of the students.The results show that:The current situation of geometry intuition ability of fourth grade pupils in Chongqing K primary school has the following characteristics:1.Students' geometric intuitive ability is at an intermediate level;The development of students' geometric intuition ability is unbalanced,specifically,in the three major content indicators,students have poor ability to use geometric intuition in the field of "number and algebra" and among the three ability indicators,students is not good at using graphics to analyze problems;Students' geometric intuition ability is positively correlated with students' mathematics scores;Students lack the awareness of applying geometric intuition to solve problems.2.The improvement scheme has certain effect on the development of students' geometric intuition ability,which is helpful to cultivate the fourth grade pupils' geometric intuition ability.
