"Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)"(referred to as "Curriculum Standards(2011 Edition)")formally puts forward the core concept of geometric intuition,and the understanding of geometric intuition is the basis for better implementation of mathematics curriculum teaching and learning.Based on a review of existing research,this paper understands the concept and function of geometric intuition and the specific description of geometric intuition in Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition),and studies the present situation of geometric intuition development of junior high school students according to the Mathematical knowledge representation,Piaget's cognitive development conflict,Vygoski's proximal development zone and other related theories.Firstly,test paper was used to investigate the eighth grade students of a middle school in Fujian Province,and the test data were analyzed by SPSS and EXCEL software.According to the test data and the analysis of the answers based on the test papers,some students were interviewed.From the three aspects of whether the students describe the problem with graphics,analyze and understand the problem with graphics,and solve the problem with graphics,we can understand the development status of geometric intuition of junior high school students.Finally,combined with the interview results,this paper analyzes the factors affecting the geometric intuitive development of junior high school students.Through the empirical research on the development status of geometric intuition of junior high school students,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The research shows that the development of geometric intuition of junior high school students is generally at the middle level.Mathematics education curriculum for junior high school students can basically help students meet the requirements of geometric intuitive development in the Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition).2.There are no obvious gender differences in the development of geometric intuition among junior high school students.3.Students are better at using graphics to analyze and understand problems.Students' ability to correctly represent problems with graphics is weak,and students do not realize the role that geometric intuition plays in solving problems.4.The expression and difficulty of the problem,the knowledge structure,learning style and thinking ability of students,and the teaching style of teachers all will affect the development of geometric intuition of junior high school students.According to the above conclusions,we believe that the cultivation of geometric intuition for junior high school students should be emphasized in the practice of education and teaching.Based on the above research results and the existing research status of geometric intuition teaching,this paper puts forward the teaching strategies for cultivating the geometric intuitive ability of junior high school students,to further cultivate the students' ability to describe and represent problems with graphics.
