Reasonable and compliant educational discipline is an indispensable condition for education. To a certain extent,we can even say that without discipline there is no education. However, with the changes in the social environment and education itself, there are many misunderstandings about educational disciplines in schools. In this context, educational discipline has become a topic of great concern to the public. With the implementation of the Ministry of Education's "Disciplinary Rules in Primary and Secondary Education(Trial)" on November 22,2020,disciplinary education in China has made great progress in legislation, but there are still many theoretical and practical questions to be answered. On the one hand, the majority of educators need to inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the Chinese education system, based on Chinese culture and education tradition. On the other hand,we also need to adhere to the culture of "mutual learning" and "harmony without difference".The mentality is to learn from other countries, especially heterogeneous cultural systems, and to gain some theoretical nourishment and practical experience. In order to understand and learn more fully from the experience and practices of disciplinary systems in other countries, especially in developed ones, this article sorts out the development history of disciplinary education in Canadian elementary and secondary schools from a comparative perspective, and introduces the legal basis and practical operation of Canadian disciplinary education,in order to provide the possible enlightenment of disciplinary education for schools in China's mainland. With the education in the province of Ontario as object of our case study, this study has analyzed the characteristics of Canadian disciplinary education in details, including early active prevention and behavior management, misconduct handling policies and specific procedures,as well as its appeal and correction mechanisms for severe disciplinary measures such as suspension and expulsion.Based on a large number of first-hand English materials, combined with the survey of the historical development and the multicultural characteristics of Canadian society, this article analyzes the current situation and characteristics of Canadian school disciplinary education from the aspects of legal foundation, enforcement procedures and guarantee mechanisms. It focuses on the analysis of the implementation procedures and error correction mechanisms of Canadian educational discipline, hoping to help the domestic education community learn from the relatively mature rules and regulations implemented by Canadian(mainly Ontario)primary and secondary schools, and provide enlightenment for the further improvement of the theory and practice of disciplinary education in our country.
