| The existence of low-performing schools is a manifestation of unbalanced educational development,which affects the realization of educational equity in a country or region.Due to the serious problems left over from history,there are a large number of low-performing schools in China,which directly hinders the balanced development of compulsory education in China.The low-performing schools improvement project under the "Race to the Top" program proposed by the Obama administration in 2009 has formed a complete low--performing schools improvement system and successfully improved many weak schools in 6 years.The successful experience of this project can provide reference for China.This paper adopts literature research method,comparative research method and case analysis method to analyze the background of weak school improvement projects,and divides the project development into three stages: exploration period,development period,maturity period and continuous improvement period.Then from the low-performing schools evaluation standards,intervention measures,capital investment,security system four aspects of the low-performing schools improvement project implementation content of the overall analysis and add cases to demonstrate its implementation effect.In addition,the characteristics and effects of the project are summarized and analyzed more generally.Finally,combining the basic situation of the weak school improvement at the present stage in China from supervision and low-performing schools reform process,to strengthen the construction of low-performing schools teacher growth and improves the management level of the low-performing schools principals,low-performing schools improvement in introducing market competition mechanism,optimizing the weak school district system has put forward the significance of cooperation,in order to provide help for the weak school improvement. |
