| In China,the socialization of left-behind children has always been the focus of social attention.Social work,as a discipline of helping people to help themselves,is worthy of in-depth research in the field of promoting the potential and social development of left-behind children.The developmental group focuses on a more harmonious individual social functionality,attaches importance to the self-realization of the service object,and emphasizes the development of individual potential to solve problems.Taking the left-behind children in the fourth grade of H Primary School in Deyang City,Sichuan Province as the main research object,through the preliminary investigation,they learned that the social development of this group lacked empathy,easy to inferiority or overconfidence,and some children tended to use violence to solve problems.According to active youth development,social learning theory,cognitive behavior theory,adopt group work method and experimental research method,set up experimental group and control group.The researchers selected three dimensions,i.e.social emotions and affection ability,interpersonal communication skills,observance of the school routine as the indicators of children’s social development levels,and two development groups were designed and implemented.The samples were measured by questionnaire before the intervention,at the end of the intervention,and two months after the intervention respectively.The collected data were analyzed using SPSS,it can be concluded that the intervention of social workers in rural left-behind children by using developmental group social work method has a long-term and significant effect on social emotions and affection,a short-term and significant effect on observance of the school routine,and no significant effect on interpersonal communication skills.Through summarization and reflection,researcher further puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions of social work in rural primary schools. |
