Provide empirical evidence for instant meditation training and short-term meditation training to improve athletes' inhibitory control and emotional regulation. This study took Tianjin football team athletes as the research object,a total of 21 people, all males, had no meditation experience.Using the stratified sampling method, the subjects were divided into three groups: breathing meditation group(7 people),body scanning group(7 people),and relaxing music group(7 people).Participants in the two experimental groups were given an instant meditation intervention for 15 minutes and a two-week short-term meditation intervention respectively, and the participants in the control group were matched with relaxing music of the same length for comparison. The main contents of the research are as follows: 1.Use the classic GO/NOGO experimental paradigm to explore the difference between the immediate and short-term effects of mindfulness meditation on athletes' inhibitory ability.2.Use pictures to present the paradigm to explore the difference between the immediate and short-term effects of mindfulness meditation on the regulation of athletes' negative emotions.3.Use the error video presentation paradigm to explore the intervention effects of mindfulness meditation on the negative emotions induced by the athletes' error behavior in sports situations, including the evaluation of immediate and short-term effects. The results of the study are as follows: 1.Repeated-measure analysis of variance was performed on GO response time, correct rate,NOGO correct rate and EEG data results N2,P3 amplitude and latency.Behavioral results showed that the breathing meditation group, body scanning group and relaxation music group showed no significant difference in response time and accuracy(P<0.05).EEG results showed that the N2 amplitude of the body scan group showed obvious immediate intervention effects under NOGO conditions(MD=0.560,P=0.009).Compared with the control group, the N2 latency of the breathing meditation group had obvious immediate intervention effects(MD=44.286,P=0.031)and short-term intervention effects(MD=70.943,P=0.001),among which the immediate effects were better than short-term interventions.Compared with the control group, the P3 amplitude of the breathing meditation group had obvious immediate(MD=2.550,P=0.992)and short-term intervention effects(MD=4.899,P=1.965)under the conditions of the GO task;the body scan group was in The Fz electrode points showed obvious immediate intervention effects, and the breathing meditation group showed obvious immediate and short-term intervention effects on the Pz and CPz electrode points.Under the GO task, compared with the control group, the breathing meditation group showed obvious short-term intervention effects.2.Perform repeated measurement of variance analysis on the emotional self-scores of negative emotion pictures, early LPP amplitude and late LPP amplitude of EEG data.Behavioral results show that both the breathing meditation group and the body scanning group have obvious short-term intervention effects(MD=0.586,P=0.003;MD= 0.445,P=0.018).EEG results showed that,in the early LPP,the difference of short-term breathing meditation in regulating negative emotions was statistically significant(MD=2.913,P=0.019),which was manifested as a lower LPP amplitude. In the late LPP amplitude,no effect of meditation on negative emotion regulation was seen.3.Repeated-measure analysis of variance on the number of emotional self-scores of the erroneous video clips, early LPP amplitude and late LPP amplitude of EEG data.Behavioral results showed that the short-term breathing meditation group(MD=0.343,P=0.028)and the instant body scan group(MD=0.410,P=0.015)were statistically significant in regulating negative emotions. The EEG results showed that in the early and late LPP,no obvious improvement effect of breathing meditation and body scanning on negative emotions was found. Conclusion: 1.Mindfulness meditation improves the inhibitory function of athletes.2.Mindfulness meditation improves the ability of athletes to regulate negative emotions.3.Compared with instant meditation,short-term meditation will show a better improvement effect on inhibition and emotional regulation.4.Different types of meditation have different effects. The intervention effect of breathing-focused meditation is better than that of body scanning.
