Children’s emotional regulation development is a relatively complex process, so the children’s emotional regulation of different age groups should involve different systems. Most of the definition of emotion regulation indicated that not only including emotional experience but also cognitive and behavioral processes. What is more, there is a close relationship between the emotion regulation development and the individual socialization. There are many factors that influenced the development of children’s emotion regulation, such as temperament, physiological, cognitive, the parent-child relationship and the outside environment and so on. There has been abroad research results show that parents’ emotional development has close relationship with children’s emotion regulation. But due to the regional and the cultural differences, our parents for themselves and their children’s emotional state awareness is not enough,so teach children how to regulate emotion is less. There has been a domestic scholar did a research about parents’meta-emotion philosophy has an impact on children’s emotion regulation. Because the study only considering the single factor-socialization without considering the overall influencing factors of emotion regulation, the study finally didn’t get a clear result. So, the intention of this study is to draw lessons from domestic and foreign research and to probe the relationship of parents’ meta-emotion philosophy,4years old children’s cognitive inhibitory control and emotion regulation from the perspective of empirical.The completion of this study first will enrich domestic theoretical research of the parents’meta-emotion philosophy. Next it will make a beneficial exploration for previous studies that did not draw a clear conclusion. Additionally, this study also has important practical significance that it can offer certain reference and guidance to help parents to correct improper way of emotional education and pay attention to children in behavior inhibitory control. So as to ultimately promote the development of children’s physical and mental health.This research investigated the relation between4-year-old preschool children’s (N=32) parents’meta-emotion philosophy、children’s inhibitory control and emotion regulation by using two methods of situational observation and parent-report. The results show that4-year-old preschool children’s parents’meta-emotion philosophy correlated significantly with children’s emotion regulation;4-year-old children’s inhibitory control correlated significantly with children’s emotion regulation;there had be an interaction for children’s emotion regulation between4-year-old children’s inhibitory control and parental meta-emotion philosophy.So,we suggests parents should fully consider improving children’s inhibitory control and realize themselves’reacted to children’s emotional expression when cultivated children’s emotion regulation.Thus to choose the right emotional response according to children’s own unique inhibitory control.
