The curriculum concept is the understanding and pursuit of the curriculum and the value orientation formed in this process to treat the curriculum.The textbook is the most basic carrier of the school curriculum content.The physical education textbook,as the main body of the teaching material,is the text expression of the physical education curriculum content,which can reflect the difference of the curriculum concept to a certain extent.As a modern sports power,Britain is one of the most developed countries in school physical education.The integration experience of high-quality teaching materials and advanced curriculum concept is worth learning.Using the method of literature and comparative research,this study takes the two editions of P.E.textbooks for middle school,PEP edition and Oxford edition,for example,carries out a comparative analysis from the aspects of textbook compilation system,textbook design,textbook content,etc.and analyzes the similarities and differences between the two countries' P.E.curriculum concepts.the specific research results are as follow :The similarities between the two countries are as follows: first,the concept of "science education";The second is the concept of "student-centered";Third,the concept of "lifelong sports".The differences between the two countries are mainly reflected in the following aspects: First,the British concept of "sports first" and the Chinese concept of "health first";Second,Britain pays attention to "liberalism" while China emphasizes "people-oriented".Thirdly,Britain pays attention to "naturalism" and "elite sports",while China prefers to "sports technology".Fourthly,Britain pays more attention to the humanistic value and social value of sports,while China pays more attention to the standard value of sports.Accordingly,the author also proposes to learn from the concept of physical education curriculum reflected in the British physical education textbooks,seek common ground while reserving differences,optimize the concept of "student-centered" and "life-long physical education",pay attention to the comprehensive and coordinated development,and strengthen the integration of curriculum concept and practice in the practical setting of physical education curriculum and the shaping of physical culture connotation.In order to optimize the compilation of PE textbooks,we should not only pay attention to advancing with The Times,but also pay attention to the situational content of textbooks.
