Composition evaluation is a difficult point in the evaluation of Chinese teaching.Appropriate evaluation of composition will have a huge impact on the improvement of primary school students' writing ability or the development of their expressive ability.However,the current composition evaluation is mostly based on the quantitative evaluation of scoring,and simple and formulaic comments are difficult to achieve the purpose of really promoting student writing.Eisner's education appreciation and education criticism take qualitative evaluation as its thinking,which brings a new perspective to the evaluation of elementary school composition teaching.The author has studied Eisner's theory of education appreciation and education criticism,and used Eisner's qualitative inquiry model to re-examine and position composition evaluation,and try to improve the evaluation method of elementary school composition.In 2020,the "Overall Plan for Deepening Educational Evaluation Reform in the New Era" puts forward new expectations and demands for teaching evaluation.The theory of humanistic education evaluation has been further developed under the impetus of experts and scholars,and the proposal of appreciative evaluation provides new ideas for teaching evaluation.However,the current elementary school composition evaluation cannot keep up with the policy orientation and the pace of theoretical development.Many front-line teachers still have the problem of ignoring the personality,strengths and potential of students in the evaluation.The evaluation method is single,the evaluation language is modeled,and the evaluation dimension is unified.One-sidedness is not uncommon.As a new evaluation methodology,appreciative evaluation provides ideas for reforming the way of composition evaluation,which needs to be practiced.Appreciative evaluation is an educational evaluation methodology used to discover the strengths,characteristics,and potentials of students.It has the characteristics of authenticity,inclusiveness,appreciation,and contextuality.Because it has the same evaluation goals and similarities as elementary school students'composition evaluation.Appropriate evaluation content and appropriate evaluation methods,through active transformation,are quite reasonable when applied to composition teaching in elementary schools.Therefore,based on the related theories of appreciative evaluation,it is theoretically feasible to implement appreciative evaluation of primary school students'composition.To implement appreciative evaluation of elementary students' composition,we need to use attractive evaluation language,to be tangible,emotional,reasonable,and interesting;to adopt individual evaluation indicators according to the individual students,and to take care in the evaluation.Students' needs,respect for their interests,tap their potential,and discover their strengths.In addition,in order to better reflect the special appreciative evaluation,this article adopts the evaluation form based on the comment evaluation method to ensure that the evaluation is customized according to the students.In addition,in order to ensure the reliability and validity of the evaluation,diversified evaluation subjects are used to promote structural confirmation,and performance evaluation is used to improve the appropriateness of reference.With reference to the implementation requirements of appreciative evaluation,the author conducted one round of preliminary research and two rounds of action research.Through research,it is found that appreciative evaluation is practically feasible when applied to the current elementary school students' composition evaluation.Compared with past evaluations,it is more helpful to improve students' writing ability,stimulate students' interest in revising,promote students' reflection on their work,and optimize students' learning.Experience.However,since the specific evaluation strategies adopted in the research process are mainly based on the personal experience of the author and the co-teachers,it has not yet been able to prove its generalization.It needs to be applied more in practice,and further reflection and improvement.
