With the emphasis of compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard and the Chinese curriculum standard of general high school on extracurricular reading,the importance of Chinese extracurricular reading is becoming more and more prominent.Extracurricular reading plays an important role in the development of students'knowledge,the formation of reading literacy and the improvement of self-study ability.However,Influence of test-oriented education,many schools,teachers and parents neglect the guidance of middle school students' extracurricular reading.At the same time,the publishing market,which pursues the maximization of interests,also lacks high-quality books that can attract middle school students' interest,close to middle school students' life and promote their spiritual growth,which leads to the huge educational value and significance of middle school students' extracurricular reading Dig it out.Starting from the history of Chinese education,this paper studies the effective experience of Xia Mianzun and Ye Shengtao in the theory and practice of middle school extracurricular reading in the 1930s,and examines the problems existing in the current middle school Chinese extracurricular reading.Combined with the rich teaching experience in the history of Chinese education,this paper puts forward some effective suggestions for the current middle school Chinese extracurricular reading teaching,hoping that in the development Learning Chinese extracurricular reading contributes to this vast space.The introduction of this paper explains the reason of the topic,and through the analysis of the research status,the significance of the research is explained,and at the same time explains the research methods.There are three parts in this paper.The first chapter is about the theory and practice of Xia Ye's extracurricular reading in the 1930s.Starting from the analysis of their historical background,this paper first combs and constructs the theoretical framework of extracurricular reading teaching in their Chinese education theory,namely:the space of extracurricular reading teaching,the purpose of extracurricular reading teaching,the guidance of extracurricular reading teaching and the direction of extracurricular reading teaching,Secondly,it analyzes the magazine Middle School Students and the extracurricular reading material Wen Xin from the perspective of editing concept and editing characteristics.The second chapter,from two aspects to analyze middle school students'extracurricular reading.The first aspect is to analyze the characteristics of "extracurricular reading suggestion bibliography" in "Compulsory Education Chinese curriculum standard" and "ordinary high school Chinese curriculum standard",as well as the editing concept and editing characteristics of "Chinese literacy reader".The second aspect is to investigate the current situation of middle school students There are some problems in extracurricular reading.The third chapter is the focus of this paper.Based on the development of modern education and the theory and practice of Xia?Ye's extracurricular reading in the 1930s,this paper puts forward four suggestions to improve the current situation of extracurricular reading:compiling high-quality extracurricular reading materials,cultivating students'reading interest,improving students' reading ability,and improving teachers' reading literacy.
