With the rapid development of society,the current population,resources,environment and sustainable development are issues of general concern to the whole society.Among them,education is the key to sustainable development.The purpose of education is to improve the basic quality of citizens and cultivate people who are fully developed."Cultivating the necessary geographical core qualities of modern citizens" is one of the basic concepts of the geography curriculum.However,in the past geography education,the education of students’ geographic and humanistic qualities was too formal and the actual results were poor.At present,students’geography and humanities The development of literacy beyond the classroom is uncommon and does not permeate the student’s life.This makes the abstract humanistic quality even more cold.How to achieve the attainment of humanistic qualities in the geography teaching process,and is closely related to life is an important issue that must be solved in order to achieve the goal of realizing geographical core literacy.This article selects students interested in extra-curricular reading outside the classroom.First of’all,it investigates the status of extra-curricular reading of high school students through questionnaires.The results show that students are not optimistic about the status of geography after class reading,but students are not interested in geography.Reading is very interesting,and there is a willingness to read.The main reasons for its unpredictable status are mainly lack of reading resources and lack of effective reading guidance.Secondly,this article interprets the relationship between students’extracurricular reading and students’ geography and humanistic qualities.Finally,based on the attempt to introduce extracurricular reading in the curriculum teaching practice,it puts forward the training strategies related to high school geographical humanities literacy.The following conclusions are drawn:Students should be provided with adequate extra-curricular reading resources;teachers should be encouraged to use extra-curricular reading to cultivate students’ geography and humanistic qualities;in combination with geography classes,they should conduct geographically relevant extracurricular reading activities in due course. |
