In the era of new media,the space of human activities has been continuously moved from the real society to the virtual world,and the self-presentation and interaction of individuals have broken through the traditional pattern.Under the vision of Meyrowitz's "media situation theory",as a new medium,short video,a product of the Internet,reconstructs new social scenes and derives new user presentation behaviors and platform economic behaviors.The current development of 5G technology has given short videos a strong radiating power,and the information flow distribution logic behind it and the participation of the whole people have changed the overall media ecology.The group of contemporary college students grew up during the rapid development of the Internet.They are a generation that pursues individuality,desires attention,independent thinking,but sometimes cares about the eyes of others,and intermittently contradicts themselves.The vast majority of them are security guards watching the fire across the digital divide.They use various social software proficiently and can always quickly adapt to the gameplay of different platforms,find their own space in the huge space of the Internet,and unfold their own narratives.Of course.College students start a new entertainment festival in the new online virtual social field,with the help of virtual stage technology,mobilize their creative cells,and show their ideals in a dynamic 15-second video.This research takes the self-presentation of college students on the short video platform using Douyin as an example.It mainly focuses on questionnaire surveys and in-depth interviews of college students' Douyin users,supplemented by the analysis of the content of college students' Douyin videos,and analyzes the content of college students on Douyin.The user's performance types are sorted and sorted out,the factors affecting the self-presentation of the target research object are refined,the psychological motivations of
