Geography textbook,as a teaching resource reflecting the standard content and requirements of geography course,is an important carrier for teachers and students to carry out geography teaching activities.It has the functions of casting the soul,enlightening the wisdom and increasing the wisdom.The latest high school geography textbook,compiled according to the Curriculum Standards for General High School Geography(2017 Edition),has been used by teachers and students nationwide since 2019.The unit activities in high school geography textbooks published by Shandong Education Press belong to the category of active texts.The design of this unit activity is unique,which helps to cultivate the core literacy of geography disciplines such as geography practice and comprehensive thinking.Teachers' use of unit activities in textbooks directly affects the teaching quality of unit activities.Therefore,it has become a research subject with strong practical value to explore how teachers can effectively use unit activities in high school geography textbooks published by Shandong Education Press.Based on the analysis of the types and characteristics of unit activities in high school geography textbooks published by Shandong Education Press,this study adopts the questionnaire method to investigate the current situation of high school geography teachers' use of unit activities in textbooks and its influencing factors.Amos software and SPSS software are used for statistical analysis of the data,and then suggestions are put forward to promote teachers' effective use of unit activities in geography textbooks.The main conclusions of this study are as follows.Firstly,according to the theme,content and function information of unit activities in the high school geography textbook of Shandong Education Press,the unit activities are divided into basic geographical skills,outdoor geographical practice and geographical information technology.The design features of unit activities in textbooks are obvious.In terms of content selection,it can be close to students' real life,keep up with the frontier of geography,and infiltrate geographical thinking methods.In terms of content organization,it has achieved overall arrangement systematization and column combination diversification.In terms of content presentation,its presentation position can highlight the value of existence,and its presentation image focuses on flexibility and diversity.Secondly,there are both merits and problems in geography teachers' use of unit activities in textbooks.On the whole,teachers have a high ability to understand and analyze textbooks and make use of textbooks for lesson preparation,while their ability to use textbooks for teaching and judging textbooks is not optimistic.The merits specific displays in: teachers have a high degree of recognition of the educational value of unit activities in textbooks,teachers have a thorough analysis of the knowledge composition of unit activities in textbooks,teachers have a strong ability to reasonably design the teaching objectives and teaching contents of unit activities,teachers can flexibly choose teaching methods according to different unit activities,and teachers can play the potential function of the unit activities in the textbook.At the same time,the main problems are as follows: teachers are not familiar with basic situation of cell activity in the textbook,and design intent of relative neglect unit activity,less attention to geographical logic method series in trains the student to the role of core geographic literacy,inadequate use of teaching resources,teaching when long arrangement of unit activity is not reasonable,teachers reflect on the consciousness and behavior of the textbooks used relatively lack.Thirdly,factors affecting teachers' use of unit activities in textbooks mainly include teacher factors,examination factors,student factors,curriculum resources factors,school factors,etc.According to the percentage of teachers in the survey results,the specific influencing factors are sorted from high to low as follows: teachers' interpretation of curriculum standards,the importance of unit activities to examinations,students' safety,school surrounding environment,teachers' mastery of learning,teachers' subject literacy level,school hardware conditions,the time-consuming of teachers' use of unit activities,the difficulty of unit activities,the use of unit activities by peers.Based on the above research results,suggestions are put forward to promote teachers' effective use of unit activities in textbooks.In the aspect of understanding and analyzing unit activities in textbooks,teachers need to be familiar with the content of unit activities in textbooks and accurately analyze the design intention of unit activities.In the aspect of making use of unit activities in textbooks for lesson preparation,teachers should creatively design the teaching content of unit activities and give full play to the function of geographical logic method.In the aspect of using unit activities in textbooks to carry out teaching,teachers should guide students to construct cognitive structure and guide students to carry out cooperative learning.In the aspect of evaluating unit activities in textbooks,teachers should establish the evaluation consciousness of unit activities and strengthen the after-class reflection of unit activities teaching.
