In the exploration process of Chinese teaching and research,the link of "reading" has increasingly highlighted the importance of its status.The improvement of reading ability will not only promote the improvement of students' Chinese learning ability,but also cultivate students' Chinese literacy.With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform,the traditional single-text reading teaching has been unable to meet the learning and development needs of students.As a result,many experts and scholars have explored a new type of reading teaching method based on their own experience and previous studies,namely thematic reading teaching.Based on the curriculum integration theory and the theory of multiple intelligences,this article understands the existing problems in the current subject reading teaching through actual investigation and research,analyzes the reasons,and proposes teaching improvement strategies,in order to enrich the currently incomplete subject reading teaching theories.Chinese teachers in the upper grades of primary schools provide teaching suggestions for reference.This research adopts the methods of questionnaire survey,interview,observation,and text analysis.From the data,it is learned that there are the following problems: 1.Teachers do not analyze the teaching materials in place.2.The guidance lacks pertinence.3.The teaching process is modeled and lacks a good teaching and research team.4.The teaching method is single solidified.5.The work form and content lack innovation.In response to the above problems,the following reasons are summarized: 1.The teacher's text interpretation ability is weak.2.One-sided emphasis on the "instrumental" of the language.3.Teacher guidance is not in place.4.The implementation process is difficult,and the team's teaching and research ability is weak.5.Simplification of teaching methods.Combining relevant data and interview content,propose corresponding teaching improvement strategies: 1.Teachers interpret the text in depth,taking into account "instrumental and humanistic".2.Strengthen the subject reading guidance.3.Optimize the teaching process and form a good teaching and research team.4.Innovate the teaching method of "theme reading" and optimize the form and content of homework.This research hopes to provide effective and implementable "thematic reading" teaching strategies for primary school teachers,so as to improve students' reading interest and reading ability.
