Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward new ideas and concepts for innovative social governance.He also emphasized that the focus of social governance should be implemented in urban and rural areas and communities.Furthermore,the exploration of innovative community governance models has been increasingly valued by social organizations and academic circles.Community development,as a practical method that emphasize residents' participation and community connection,is of great significance in the exploration of innovative community governance models.Social workers mainly carry out services in the community,and they are gradually aware of the importance of community development to innovative community governance model.Then more and more social workers participate in this field.However,social work,a profession still in the developing stage,has low social awareness,and professional workers have a low sense of social value.They are especially faced with a crisis of identity in the diverse collaborative groups of community development.And,social workers have professional doubts and group unconfidence in the game of multiple professional backgrounds.Therefore,this research mainly focuses on the practical content of professional social workers in the field of community development,the professional advantages and uniqueness of social work,and the active differentiated behavior of professional workers,in order to expand the research on identity construction of social workers in the multiple collaborative groups of community development.In this study,through the depth interviews with professional social workers of space community development and other professional participating members of the collaboration teams,it analyzes the social workers' identity construction process of community development that emphasizes multi-professional collaboration within the framework of the identification path of social identity theory.Also,the challenges and difficulties faced by identity construction are the content of this research.The research mainly conducts specific analysis from three aspects:self-categorization,inter-group comparison,and active distinction.Self-categorization establishes the connection between social workers and diverse collaborative groups,and obtains individuals' understanding of group membership and group identity.The result of self-categorization is to divide the inner group composed of social workers and the outer group which contain other professional participants in the diverse collaborative group.Group comparisons between the inner and outer groups form social workers' cognition of their own professional advantages and establish their own identity in the group and self-esteem.Driven by professional self-confidence,social workers show positive differentiation behaviors that can show their professional uniqueness.The results of the study show that social workers'categorization in the diverse collaborative groups of community development are mainly from government-level coordinators and language converters,community-level residents' participation promoters,and economic-level explorers of innovative models,so as to establish social workers'understanding of group membership and their group cognition.Amplify the differences between social workers and other professional participants in the multi-collaborative group of community development,find the uniqueness and advantages of social work such as reflexive practice,internalization of the dominant perspective,and the sociality of social work,establish self-esteem about own profession in the multi-collaborative group,and strengthen personal identity through the active differentiation behavior of social workers in the specific practice process.
