Case Study On Improving The Social Adaptability Of Veterans

Our country has more than 57 million veterans and is growing at a rate of hundreds of thousands a year.According to the relevant policies,the preferential care and resettlement of veterans is arranged by the government,but due to the strong directive of the government and the long period of arrangement,a large number of veterans can not successfully complete the transition from the army to the local.As a result,veterans have gradually become a more special group,they suddenly returned from the army to the local,need to accept a new working environment and lifestyle,which greatly test the social adaptability of veterans.Some veterans can become "social people" through self-adjustment,but a considerable number of people can not successfully complete self-adjustment,there is a phenomenon that can not adapt to society.When the special group of veterans is unable to adapt to society,it is easy to show a negative state,mainly in the following aspects: first,to create a sense of alienation from the present local life,immersed in the former army life,unwilling to reintegrate into society;second,lack of interpersonal communication,social scope is limited to the original army comrades,often communicate with old comrades through telephone and We Chat,but with family,classmates and neighbors communication is rare;Third,the social support network is weakened,the original social support has gradually disintegrated,the new social support network has not been fully established,making veterans in an isolated situation;fourth,self-realization is blocked,Lack of self-planning awareness,confused about future life and career development.Therefore,it is very important to effectively improve the social adaptability of veterans,which is not only related to the quality of life and life satisfaction of veterans,but also has an important impact on the modernization of the army and the long-term stability of the country.As an important service object of social work,veterans,as a special group in the social group,there are greater requirements than common communities.For the last few years,the adaptation of veterans often appears,and the social adaptability of veterans needs to be improved.Because,based on the theory of social role,social support theory and ecosystem theory,this study tries to explore effective countermeasures to improve the social adaptability of veterans through case work intervention so as to help veterans better adapt and integrate into society.
