With the quickening pace of social development and the increasing work intensity,people’s occupational pressure is also increasing day by day.Community workers are responsible for the management and service of the community,the quality of their service is directly related to the community order and social harmony and stability,so it is a necessary task to effectively alleviate the job burnout of community workers.This paper aims to analyze the performance and causes of job burnout of community workers through professional social work methods and practical research.To explore new ideas and methods to alleviate job burnout,promote the development of community undertakings,strengthen the construction of community work teams,and build a harmonious home.On the basis of previous studies on job burnout of community workers,this paper selects the C community in Shenyang as the research object,mainly uses the method of supporting group work to intervene,and conducts investigation and research through questionnaire,scale and participatory observation.Based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,social support theory and two-factor theory,six community workers with similar problems are selected to form supporting activity groups,and six theme activities aiming at relieving job burnout are carried out.The study found that the performance of job burnout of community workers mainly has the following aspects: physical and mental fatigue due to work stress,anxiety,work enthusiasm decline,work efficiency decline,lack of emotional support,professional identity decline,etc.In order to solve these problems,we should reshape the professional cognition of community workers as soon as possible,reduce anxiety and improve the ability to resist pressure.At the same time,we should actively link up social resources and enrich social support network.Improve the community system mechanism,stimulate the enthusiasm of the work,and finally strengthen social policy protection,to create a good community atmosphere.Get community workers back on track and have the confidence to face every challenge in the future.In this paper,supportive group work is applied to alleviate job burnout by helping community workers to build support networks,obtain emotional support and social support,release psychological pressure,and improve job burnout,to find the value and significance of the profession,with a certain degree of innovation.This study has achieved good results in alleviating job burnout of team members,and has accumulated effective ways to solve such problems in the course of the study,due to the insufficient number of investigators to support the sample characteristics,and the limitation of activity duration,further research will be carried out in the future.
