2020 is a critical period for the strategy of comprehensive poverty alleviation.Targeted poverty alleviation is a Chinese characteristic,and now it is mostly carried out by the government in purchasing services.There are also more and more projects that use the social work profession as an entry point for poverty alleviation,but the research on how to maintain professional independence in the process of project implementation is still ongoing.In the process of project implementation,social workers must be flexible,because the unchanging will have a negative impact on the development of the project.They must also be persistent.If not,the project will become a resource delivery that does not have the professional significance of social workers.How to deal with perseverance and flexibility involves discussing the professional independence scale,so this issue has become the focus of this article.This article takes the 2019 social organizations carrying out social work education counterpart poverty alleviation service demonstration projects as a starting point.In the practical process of project development,it was found that social workers need to adhere to their professional independence.Due to the influence of objective factors,excessive emphasis on professional independence will affect the smooth development of the project.At the start of investigation phase,mid-term activity development phase and later closing phase of the project,it is necessary to adjust and adapt to the smooth development of the project in accordance with the actual situation.It is wrong to completely adhere to the same professional independence and blindly adapt to the successful completion of the project.The scale of the flexibility needs to be grasped.In the process of project implementation,the social workers and the local government,rural elites,and service targets have different understanding and positioning of social worker roles due to their respective positions during the interaction process.The different “imaginary” of social worker roles and social workers of the three parties causes the problem,and the reason is that the three parties regard social workers more as project performers,and there is a cognitive deviation in the positioning of the professional role of social workers.Therefore,this article analyzes the adherence and breakthrough of professional independence as follows.Regarding the adherence to professional independence,at the level of consultation with the local government,attention should be paid to the on-demand design and practicality of service content,and ensure the completion of professional service model operations and service indicators,and adhere to the standardized use of active materials.At the level of cooperation with rural elites,it is necessary to adhere to project service goals andprofessional service concepts,and adhere to the dominance of the distribution of materials.When providing services to service objects,social workers should pay attention to the internal changes of service objects,and rely on the project regulations and rely on the voluntary principle to determine the service target.Regarding the breakthrough of professional independence,at the level of interaction with the local government,social workers need to change their communication methods,replace“requests” with “negotiations”,and need to flexibly design service activities.Social workers need to increase the local government's understanding of the social work profession through the development of service activities.In the interaction with the rural elite,social workers should replace "need" with "cooperation",use local policy advantages and professional advantages reflected in the activities to improve the mobilization effect,and take the form of "dual presence" in the distribution of material.When involved in service object problems,the labeling needs to be removed,and the service object should be replaced by "accompaniment" for "help",and the social worker needs to carry out professional services within its own ability.For the social workers themselves,in the process they should also pay attention to increase professional publicity and to strengthen the use of online publicity to increase the social influence of the social work profession.
