Chinese characters are the writing symbols for recording Chinese,and they are the key and difficult points for foreign students to learn Chinese.Due to the particularity of education system,teaching mode and teaching materials in Cambodia's Chinese schools,the problem of Chinese character learning of Cambodian Chinese learners is particularly prominent.Although Cambodia is a Southeast Asian country,it belongs to the "non Chinese character cultural circle".Therefore,Chinese characters are very strange to Cambodian students,and there will be more problems in the process of learning Chinese characters.Cambodian students' Chinese character learning problems need to attract the attention and attention of Chinese teachers and relevant foreigners.In order to further study the characteristics of Cambodian students' Chinese learning,and the relationship between Chinese learning strategies and learning effects,this paper refers to Jiangxin and Zhaoguo's Chinese learning strategies scale,and conducts a survey and Research on the middle-level Chinese level students of public Zhongshan School in Siem Reap Province,Cambodia,by means of questionnaire,and analyzes the common Chinese learning strategies of students.Then according to the syllabus of Chinese level vocabulary and Chinese character level,and hsk4 level vocabulary,combined with the Chinese characters learned in the student textbook "Chinese",selected common characters and key Chinese characters,tested the Chinese character level of the respondents in the way of examination,and studied the relationship between the Chinese character achievement and Chinese character learning strategies of Cambodian students.Then it analyzes the differences of gender,whether Chinese or not in Chinese learning strategies,and the differences of Chinese character level in Chinese learning strategies.The results show that there are significant differences in application strategies,metacognitive strategies and memory strategies between different genders;Chinese students are more active and frequent in using Chinese learning strategies than non Chinese students,and Chinese students are better at using inductive strategies and memory strategies,which is also an important reason why Chinese students' Chinese character scores are higher than those of non Chinese students;different years There are significant differences in application strategies and induction strategies among students of different ages.The older the learners are,the more often they use induction strategies.Induction strategies,application strategies and memory strategies play a significant role in improving the learning effect of Chinese characters,but these three learning strategies are the least used learning strategies.Finally,according to the existing problems in the teaching of Chinese characters in Cambodian Chinese schools and the results of the survey,some suggestions are put forward,such as: making the syllabus of Chinese characters,giving full play to the advantages of students' gender differences and guiding students to use effective learning strategies.It is hoped that the results of this survey can provide effective teaching methods for Chinese teachers according to the characteristics of Cambodian middle-level students' Chinese character learning,and help Cambodian Chinese teachers' Chinese character teaching effectively.
