Chinese character teaching is an important part of Chinese language teaching.Its errors are universal and regular in the study of Chinese as a second language,and have important research value.Cambodia has a large number of Chinese teaching school and learners.Confucius Classroom of Angkor High School in Siem Reap enrolls thousands of Chinese learners every year,but in daily teaching,students' attitude towards Chinese character learning is generally negative,and the error rate of Chinese character in homework is higher.Taking Cambodian Chinese learners as the respondents,this paper sorts out and classifies the errors of Chinese characters in the final examination papers of Confucius students in Angkor High School in Cambodia,and analyses the errors from the horizontal(error level)and vertical(class level)perspectives.The conclusions are as follows:1.The accuracy of writing increases with the level;2.The errors of strokes are at all levels.Other errors accounted for a relatively low proportion of statistics;3.Some stroke errors run through one to four levels.This paper analyses the causes of the errors from five aspects,including Chinese characters,teachers,students,curriculum and teaching materials,and puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions according to the above factors,hoping which will provide some help for the development of Chinese character teaching and learning in Cambodia.
