The new curriculum standard put forward a deeper reading requirement for argumentative text,and tend to cultivate students’ ability of "thinking reading and expression".Teachers’ past experience in argumentative text can not fully meet the reading requirements of high school students,and a complete set of teaching theories is urgently needed to guide the improvement of reading teaching.Through the questionnaire survey,the author has learned that whether it is from the teacher’s "teaching" or from the students’ "reading",there are some problems in the current stage of text-based reading teaching.For the current investigation of argumentative text reading teaching,this paper mainly uses the form of questionnaire survey.By analyzing the survey results,in terms of teacher,there are problems such as teaching objective statements is not scientific.improper selection of teaching contents,lack of substantive dialogue in the teaching process and inefficient teaching methods.In terms of student,there are problems such as lack of reading interest and extracurricular accumulation.Based on the analysis of the causes of the problem,in terms of teacher,less attention to academics,three-dimensional fixed,no subdivision of text,weak sense of style,lack of design thinking,teaching model and lack of innovation in methods.Inability to explore deeply.In terms of student,the difficulty in selecting textbooks,the difficulty of understanding students and the lack of attention in the classroom,and the heavy tasks of students.In view of the problems and reasons,this paper puts forward the improvement strategy.The strategies for teachers’ teaching include setting teaching objectives at different levels,determining teaching contents according to text types,optimizing classroom questions,and using schemata and mind maps to help the classroom.The strategies for students’ reading include adding classroom debates and texts.The author hopes that the research results of this paper can provide some information for teachers.According to the actual classroom situation,the improvement strategy proposed in this paper is adopted to better serve the discussion class.At the same time,we hope that the research results of this paper will provide reference for the reading teaching of high school Chinese argumentative text.
