Since the new curriculum reform,the pursuit of Chinese education has become higher and higher.In the general high school Chinese curriculum standards issued in 2017,18 task groups were designed,while "whole book reading and discussion" ranked first in the learning task group,and put forward clear requirements for the whole book reading teaching.In recent years,although the whole book reading teaching research is endless,but the whole book reading teaching is still in constant exploration,still lack of systematic.From the perspective of practical research,I study the implementation of the whole book teaching,against the requirements of the new curriculum,as well as feedback from teachers and students,put forward suggestions for improvement.This paper is mainly divided into four parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research purpose and significance,research status and level,research content,ideas,methods.The second part is the whole book reading teaching overview.First,the concept of the whole book reading teaching is defined,and then the teaching value of the whole book reading is expounded,which includes three aspects: first,expanding the field of vision,constructing experience,second,forming methods,improving ability,third,cultural edification,and shaping conduct.Secondly,it introduces the whole book reading content,including two aspects,one is the whole book reading content in the textbook,the other is the whole book reading content recommended by the curriculum standard.Thirdly,it states the suggestions for the whole book reading teaching,including two aspects,one is the whole book reading teaching objectives,the other is the whole book reading teaching implementation suggestions.And the third part is S middle school book reading teaching practice investigation.By means of questionnaire survey,teacher interview and daily observation and communication,this paper investigates the teaching practice of reading the whole book in S middle school.understand the basic situation of the whole book reading teaching practice in S middle school.To investigate thecontents and methods of the whole book reading teaching in the school.It is found that the following problems are encountered in the reading teaching practice of the whole book: First,the students’ academic pressure restricts the time of reading the whole book,the second is that many kinds of reading methods interfere with the students’ reading thinking,Third,teachers’ teaching tasks and abilities limit the level of reading teaching in the whole book.The fourth part is the improvement strategy of the whole book reading teaching.In order to solve the problems found in the survey,the following suggestions are put forward according to the objectives,contents,implementation suggestions of the whole reading and discussion task group of the whole book according to the curriculum standards,as well as the actual situation of the school,students,teachers.First of all,put forward the whole book reading teaching improvement principles,including four aspects,first,the selection of books to classic and interest-based,second,adhere to multiple reading intensive reading depth,third,adhere to innovative reading methods to meet the requirements of the times,fourth,adhere to the practice cycle is relatively independent and complete.Second,follow these principles and propose three points of improvement strategies based on the problems identified Don’t be,first,reasonable planning time,specify reading plan,second,optimize reading style,strengthen deep reading,third,strengthen teacher cooperation,improve teaching level.Thirdly,apply these teaching strategies to the whole book reading teaching practice,form the whole book reading teaching case,and show the case and analysis,reflect on the practice process,and further improve the whole book reading teaching through feedback.It is hoped that through practical inquiry,more researchers and first-line teachers will join the ranks of improving the reading teaching practice of the whole book and improve the students’ Chinese literacy.
