In Chinese reading teaching,novel reading teaching is an indispensable part,its importance is self-evident.Novel is an important medium for students to learn knowledge and culture.It can not only help students to understand literature knowledge and improve literature literacy,but also enrich students’ spiritual world,have a positive impact on students’ ideology and morality,and have an important significance for promoting the development of students’ physical and mental health.Junior high school is the key period to lay a solid foundation for senior high school learning and later life.The teaching of novel reading in this period will not only affect students’interest and habits in novel reading during this period,but also affect students’ learning of novel,Chinese and even life-long learning in senior high school.Therefore,the teaching of novel reading in junior high school appears to be very important Especially important.However,in many documents about junior high school novel reading teaching,it is mentioned that there are still many problems in junior high school novel reading teaching at this stage.Based on this,this paper takes Dajin junior high school in Kaizhou District of Chongqing as the research object,uses the methods of questionnaire,interview and case analysis to investigate the current situation of the school’s novel reading teaching,hoping to understand the achievements of the school’s novel reading teaching and the existing problems through this investigation,and to explore the solutions by analyzing these problems.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly includes four aspects:the origin of the research,the purpose and significance of the research,the scope and methods of the research,and the summary of the research.The second chapter is the requirements and suggestions of Chinese curriculum standard for junior high school Chinese novel reading teaching,mainly including two aspects:first,analyzing the requirements and suggestions of compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard(2011)for junior high school reading teaching,exploring the basis and direction of junior high school novel reading teaching;second,combining unit reading guidance,grasping the specific requirements of textbook for novel reading teaching Ask.The third chapter is the analysis of the current situation of school teaching.Firstly,this chapter analyzes the arrangement of novels in the textbook and the basic situation of entering junior high school,and then analyzes the basic situation of the school’s novel reading teaching through teaching examples.The fourth chapter is mainly about the presentation and analysis of the questionnaire data.Through collecting and sorting out the questionnaire,it discusses in detail the achievements and existing problems of the novel reading teaching in Dajin junior high school,and analyzes the attribution of the problems.The fifth chapter is the suggestion chapter.According to the problems existing in the current situation of the novel reading teaching in Dajin junior high school,combined with the causes of the problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding suggestions from two different subjects,teachers and students.At the teacher’s level,teachers should pay attention to continuing education,constantly improve their Chinese literacy,optimize teaching design,at the same time,pay attention to students’ learning situation,and implement teaching according to students’ actual situation.At the student level,students should attach importance to the whole novel reading,actively participate in reading,cultivate reading habits,master reading methods,exercise and cultivate Chinese reading ability,so as to better cooperate with teachers in novel reading teaching and jointly improve teaching quality.The suggestions are guided by the Chinese curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011),guided by the teaching practice of top teachers,combined with the actual situation of Dajin junior high school,hoping that these suggestions can provide valuable reference for Dajin junior high school to improve the teaching of novel reading.
