Computational ability is the most basic mathematics ability of middle school students,and it is also the necessary quality for students to further develop.The education circles of all countries attach great importance to the cultivation of students' computing ability,and the equation operation is the knowledge that students must learn when they enter junior high school.The basis of the content,however,in the actual teaching or educational research,this important content lacks the necessary attention.In order to understand the status quo of the ninth grade students' equations,this study separately examines the five dimensions of computing power and compiles the corresponding testing tools.Through the data analysis and investigation of the equations of 210 ninth grade students in Lanzhou two middle schools.The research summarizes the current situation of the ninth grade students' equation computing ability,finds the factors that affect the ninth grade students' equation computing ability,and proposes targeted teaching strategies.Through the data analysis of the test volume,the following research conclusions are drawn:(1)The student's equation computing ability is low overall,the student's average grade just exceeds the passing line;(2)the student's equation computing ability is uneven in five dimensions.Students have the ability to mine topic information and select reasonable algorithms.The ability to apply theorems,formulas,rules,and simplify the computational process is medium,and students have the worst ability to estimate results.(3)Boys and girls are not only in the estimation ability of equations.There are significant differences,and there are no significant differences in other capability dimensions.(4)Students have typical problems in the equation operation that do not test the operation results and symbol errors during the operation.After understanding the status quo,combined with the results of the student questionnaire and interviews with teachers,it is found that the factors affecting the students' ability to calculate the equations are mainly reflected in three aspects:(1)students' computing interests,habits,psychological qualities,mathematical cognitive structure and mathematics.The mastery of mathematics thought methods will affectthe development of students' equations;(2)teachers' emphasis on equations and demonstrations have a certain impact on students' equations;(3)class schedules and search software,calculators The external environmental factors such as the use of the student also affect the improvement of the student's equations.Through the analysis of the influencing factors,combined with the educational psychology theory,four teaching strategies for cultivating the numeracy ability of the ninth grade students are proposed:(1)attach importance to the cultivation of students' non-intellectual factors;(2)improve the cognitive structure of students;(3)reduce the influence of objective factors on the computing power of students' equations;(4)attach importance to the guidance of mathematical ideas.
