Research On The Competence Of Young Pioneers Squadron Counselors

The Young Pioneers of China is a group organization of Chinese children and children founded and led by the party.It is a reserve team for the construction of socialism and communism.The Young Pioneers Counselor plays a important role in the Young Pioneers.The Young Pioneers counselor is not only a ideological and political worker of the party,but also a close friend and mentor of the children.Among them,the Young Pioneer Squadron Counselor is a part-time Young Pioneer worker hired by the school’s party group organization,and is the basic force of the school’s Young Pioneer work.The improvement of the competence of the young pioneers squadron counselors is conducive to strengthening the political enlightenment and value shaping of children and young people,and is conducive to guiding the young pioneers to cultivate and practice socialist core values from an early age.In the process of researching the Young Pioneer Squadron Counselor’s competence,firstly,it summarizes the current research on the connotation of competency,the research on the competence of foreign teachers,and the research on the Young Pioneer counselor.Introduced the competency theory,defined the concept of the Young Pioneer Squadron Counselor,and explained the research ideas and methods.Secondly,through the competency checklist to investigate the competency characteristics of the outstanding Young Pioneers squadron counselors,and code the results of the behavioral incident interviews based on the survey results,and explore the Young Pioneers squadron counselors’ competency model including five first-level dimensions: knowledge,ability,Professional philosophy,motivation,personal traits;sixteen secondary dimensions: young pioneers knowledge,basic subject knowledge,interactive communication,innovation ability,organization and coordination ability,leadership ability,talent cultivation,service spirit,political accomplishment,dedication,self-reflection,achievement orientation,flexibility,personal charm,tolerance,love.Then,according to the competency model of the squadron counselors,the questionnaire was compiled.Based on the results of the predictive questionnaire,exploratory factor analysis was used to investigate the rationality of the Young Pioneers squadron counselors’ competency model,and the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were tested.Through the investigation of the competency status of the young pioneers squadron instructors,it can be seen that the overall competence level of the young pioneers squadron instructors in the four core urban areas of City S is relatively good.The scores of the five competency dimensions from high to low are professional philosophy,ability,personal traits,motivation,and knowledge.The scores of knowledge dimension and motivation dimension are lower than the overall average score.In the secondary dimension of the Young Pioneer Squadron Counselor’s Competency Model,it is found that the squadron counselor’s self-evaluation of political literacy is the highest,while the self-evaluation of innovation ability is the lowest.The survey results show that there are significant differences in the competencies of squadron counselors in four aspects:age,education,working years,and whether to participate in training,but there is no significant difference in gender.Finally,based on the results of the investigation and research,five suggestions are put forward: clarify the role positioning,attach importance to self-improvement;improve professionalism,enhance knowledge and ability;optimize service spirit,enhance professional concepts;strengthen environmental support,increase the enthusiasm of squadron counselors;establish development Vision,enhance professional happiness.
