Research On The Living Space Of Traditional Music In Nanjing During The Republic Of China

In the late Qing Dynasty,Chinese society encountered strong challenges from the West.This challenge is omni-directional.In the field of culture,the influx of western culture has impacted China’s 5000 year old traditional culture.The field of music culture is also influenced by western music.Traditional music is no longer at the top.At that time,Chinese music culture showed diversity.So what is the living state of traditional music in this multicultural environment? Based on this question,the author selects the traditional music in Nanjing as the research object,analyzes the living state of traditional music in different spaces in Nanjing during the period of the Republic of China,and finds that the living state of traditional music in Nanjing is not declining,on the contrary,it is highly respected in Nanjing.So what is the reason for this phenomenon? Therefore,the author draws lessons from Professor Luo Qin’s "research model on the relationship between music personnel and culture" to further interpret what "specific mechanism" affects the traditional music personnel in different spaces.The article is divided into four parts.The first to third chapters discuss the types,musical characteristics and living conditions of traditional music in different nature spaces-private space(Ga N family courtyard),public space(Opera and tea Hall)and media space(Nanjing Central Radio Station).The fourth chapter is the key part of this paper,which focuses on how the specific mechanism produced in the music society under the action of the specific historical field promotes and supports the survival and development of traditional music in different spaces.Finally,from these case studies,it is concluded that no matter what kind of music,its emergence,development and evolution are caused by a certain "specific mechanism",which is inseparable from its cultural environment.
