"Yun Zhong Ji" is A lai after the dust settles,"Kong Shan" again after a long,no matter from the literature types,it is defined as "disaster literature","green" novels,"rimland novel",etc.,are enough to explain the connotation of the novel interpretation with multiple angles and deep wide research space.Looking at A Lai’s works in recent years,The Story of the Clouds and his previous works,such as The Epic of the Village and The Trilogy of Shan Zhen,share a lot of meanings with each other.In his previous works,A Lai aims to reveal how backward and remote Chinese villages are experiencing historical changes and the profound changes brought about by these changes.A Lai’s novels often take the villages in the midst of change as the main characters,and also record the characters who are either traditional and conservative or indicate the new direction of rural change."In the Clouds" tells the story of a small village that is about to disappear from the world and a priest who is determined to return to the village to appease the dead and never leave,as well as the touching story that happens in the ruins.In "The Epic of the Machinery Village" series,A Lai wanted to use his writing to give voice to the life of ethnic groups other than the Han Chinese,and also to focus on the changes that the villages are facing in the modern era and their ultimate fate.In "The Legend of the Clouds",A Lai’s eyes are still focused on the fate of the village and the people in the border area.In addition,he has more profound thoughts on the fetters between human and nature,human and human as well as human and society behind the huge disaster.In A Lai’s writing,human beings seem to share some common emotion,which transcends time and space and presents us with the same characteristics in different regions and time periods.This is in the face of the disaster,the fear of life,the feeling of life and death.When a natural disaster comes,all creatures in the world are equal.This time,A Lai not only pays attention to the ethnic groups living in the remote areas of ethnic minorities,but also starts his thinking about life from the universal meaning of all mankind.How to start a new life after a disaster,and where to find support after losing their homes.This paper mainly discusses from several parts:The first chapter mainly explores the theme implication of the novel,mainly about how people get along with nature,how people get emotional comfort from nature when they are suffering from psychological trauma,and how people should settle down when their spiritual home is destroyed after an earthquake.In addition to the interdependence between human beings and nature,it also explores how literature should write about disasters from the perspective of disaster literature,how The Book of the Clouds uses religious experience to find the outlet of spiritual relief for all kinds of sufferings caused by disasters,and how to sing songs of life above the ruins.The second chapter mainly analyzes the characters and their psychology in the novel,elaborates the state of mind change of the protagonist A Ba and the psychological identity found under the identity and belief,and explores step by step how A Ba starts a new life on the ruins and obtains spiritual comfort in the new identity of the priest.There is also an analysis of how Ren Qin,another bright character in the novel,grows up step by step.The third chapter is about the artistic characteristics of the novel,mainly from the aesthetic perspective of the analysis of the narrative structure of the novel and the language of the artistic characteristics.The whole novel is like a symphony,repeatedly leaping between memory and reality.The language is clean and pure,with strong feelings and restrained and implicit.
