With the rapid development of Internet,great changes have taken place in people’s life and learning style.In order to meet the challenges of the future society,various countries have carried out the basic education reform of “core literacy”.As an important way to develop students’ core literacy,deep learning has been paid more and more attention,and gradually evolved from a learning method to an educational concept,which provides new ideas and directions for the class teaching reform of various disciplines.Guided by the concept of deep learning,this study aims to explore the optimization strategy of the unit integrity instruction design of primary school English based on deep learning.Firstly,through consulting a large number of literature,the paper expounds the connotation and research status of deep learning and the unit integrity instruction design of primary school English,analyzes the internal relationship between deep learning and the unit integrity instruction design of primary school English.It shows that the application of deep learning concept in the unit integrity instruction design of primary school English is feasible.Secondly,it selects the representative teaching design of Zhengzhou Z primary school where the internship is located for case analysis.Combined with the case and the results of interviews with teachers,it analyzes the real situation of the unit integrity instruction design of primary school English in Z primary school.Through the above investigation and analysis,it found that teachers can promote students’ English knowledge learning and ability development to a certain extent through the unit integrity instruction design,but most teachers lack the understanding of the concept of deep learning,and the current teaching design is not ideal for the improvement of students’ core literacy.The specific situation is as follows: first,in the analysis of teaching materials,the analysis of unit teaching materials is comprehensive but not in-depth.Second,in the analysis of learning situation,attention is paid to students’ external learning needs,but the understanding of internal learning needs is not deep.Third,in the design of teaching objectives,attention is paid to the achievement of single three-dimensional objectives,but the progressive embodiment of each class objective is not obvious.Fourth,when organizing the teaching content,we pay attention to the text reconstruction,but the meaning exploration is not deep.Fifth,when designing the teaching process,teachers pay attention to various forms of teaching activities,but few activities point to higher-order thinking.Sixth,teachers generally attach importance to teaching evaluation,but the form is single and the depth is not enough.Under the guidance of the concept of deep learning,the optimization of each link of the unit integrity instruction design can effectively promote students’ deep learning and effectively improve students’ core literacy.Combined with the concept of deep learning,this paper puts forward the following optimization strategies for the current situation of the unit integrity instruction design: first,in-depth analysis of teaching materials to explore the significance of the theme.Second,in-depth analysis of learning situation combined with internal needs.Third,clarify the teaching objectives,from shallow to deep step by step.Fourth,effectively reconstruct the text to go deep exploration.Fifth,optimize teaching activities to promote deep learning.Sixth,multiple teaching evaluation and development of core literacy.
