Research On The Creation Of Comic Strips At The Luxun Academy Of Fine Arts (1949-1966)

After 1949,literary and artistic creation played an important role in publicizing new policies and consolidating new political power.Comic book is widely popularized because of its portability,popularity and sociality.Influenced by the compilation and creation of new comic books in China,new and old comic books began to change,and the themes began to turn to socialist production and construction,heroes of the Anti-Japanese War,revolutionary struggle and so on.As one of the eight major art academies in China,Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts has gone through the following stages since it was founded in 1938: Lu Xun Academy of Arts(Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Sciences)built in Yan ’an during the War of Resistance against Japan period;some moved from Yan ’an to Northeast China;during the Liberation War,it moved to Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Sciences in Jiamusi and Shenyang;and after 1949,Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Sciences in Northeast China,Northeast Academy of Fine Arts,and Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.From 1949 to 1966,it was an important historical period for the construction of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts,and the creation of comic strips in Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts evolved on this basis.This stage is a period of rapid recovery of China’s national economy,and great changes have taken place in the national policy of literature and art.With the gradual formalization of colleges and universities,the gradual establishment of publishing houses and other systems,and the arrival of the first national comic book awards,comic books,as the strengths of our school,have produced a series of outstanding works such as "Child Labour","I Want to Read","The Son of the Grassland" and "Chairman Mao’s Good Student Jiao Yulu",which have certain influence in the national art circles.During this period,the creation of new comic books in Northeast China was extremely active,and this positive creative force was closely related to Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts’ emphasis on comic books.The main purpose of this paper is to explore the creation and evolution of comic strips in Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts from 1949 to 1966.This paper mainly explores four aspects: first,it expounds the characteristics of comic books and the creation state of comic books in early 1949;The second is to analyze the comic creation thought of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts at this stage,and according to the different development characteristics in the school history of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts at this stage,the deduction of comic creation thought is divided into stages;The third is to make an in-depth analysis of the main comic book creation in this period,including subject matter and content,modeling and composition,and narrative and cohesion;Fourthly,it summarizes the social function of comic book creation in Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts.
