Senior high school English courses play an important role in moral education.In 2017,the Ministry of Education promulgated the "General High School English Curriculum Standards"(Short for the "New Curriculum Standards").The"New Curriculum Standards" clearly stated that high school English courses should cultivate students' emotions,attitudes,and values,and implement.However,under the influence of exam-oriented education,high school English teaching has always had the problem of "emphasizing skills and neglecting moral education".The specific manifestations are as follows:(1)Some teachers' concepts are relatively backward,and students are more utilitarian in learning,thus neglecting the content of moral education penetration-in the books;(2)Teachers lack the ability to integrate the content of moral education to some extent,and the content of moral education in teaching materials is limited,which leads to the lack of moral education;(3)The lack of continuity in moral education teaching;(4)There are few channels for moral education.In response to the above-mentioned problems,this research develops a WeChat applet using the characteristics of the WeChat applet for easy interaction,convenient use,and various forms of auxiliary teaching.It aims to help teachers update teaching concepts,integrate moral education content,and continuously carry out moral education teaching.At the same time,it also helps students increase their interest in the content of moral education,expand their understanding of the content of moral education,and establish correct cultural views and values.This small program is based on the high school English textbooks published by the People's Education Edition,and summarizes four common moral education themes-"people and culture","people and society","people and environment",and "people and technology".According to the theme,the teacher designs the teaching according to the teaching content and the students' learning conditions,uploads relevant articles and video resources,provides pre-class thinking questions as a situational introduction,and gives key words and sentences to guide students to write.and then helps teachers to analyze the students' ideological status through the function of the language emotion recognition.The keyword extraction function can reduce the workload of teachers,enable teachers to quickly analyze a large amount of materials,grasp and guide students' thoughts.Through the design above,it helps teachers to update the moral education teaching concept,integrate the moral education content,and continue to carry out moral education teaching.This article adopts four methods:literature research method,questionnaire survey method,interview method,and experimental teaching method,to carry out teaching experiment exploration.In terms of questionnaires,124 students and 20 teachers from a middle school in Fengcheng city,Jiangxi Province was selected for a background investigation,and 2 teachers were interviewed.In the practical teaching exploration,a class was selected,which included 38 students and 1 teacher.The author divided the 38 students into two groups-the experimental group(19 students)and the control group(19 students),to explore the usability of the WeChat applet in moral education teaching in high school English classroom.From the teacher's point of view,the research results show that this WeChat Mini Program can provide teachers with a practical tool to assist moral education teaching to a certain extent,help teachers update their educational concepts,and change teaching methods.From the perspective of students,this WeChat Mini Program can help students expand their moral education knowledge,increase their interest in moral education knowledge,and change their learning concepts.In addition,the experiment also shows the potential of keyword extraction technology in moral education.In practice,the results of keyword extraction show that there is a certain gap between the student's response and the teacher's expectations,which helps teachers to accurately grasp the students' thinking.This shows that keyword extraction technology has the potential to be used in students' moral education.
