Song Yuanwen served as the vice chairman of the printmaking department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1984.From 1986 to 1994,he served as the chairman of the Department to organize Printmaking Teaching and studied in the printmaking department for 38 years.This period of time is a major transformation period of Chinese art.The "Star" exhibition in 1979 and the strong emergence of art trend in 85 are the key period for western modernism art to enter China.There is a strong collision between college art education and social art.New art has to break through the limitations of the college teaching system,and college education has to face the new trend.We can’t ignore each other’s existence at all.In the process of mutual collision,but in the state of parallel lines with each other,we continue to move forward.Under such a background,the teaching system of the engraving department of the Central Academy of fine arts from 84 to 94 was developed,its phenomena were reviewed,and its influence was summarized.In the college,looking back on Song Yuanwen’s teaching work in the Department of printmaking,it can be summarized as: "to establish a Chinese Printmaking Teaching System,and on this basis to restore and improve teaching.".The slogan of "establishing Chinese print teaching system" was put forward by Mr.Li Hua.In the period of song Yuanwen’s organizing print teaching,"establishing Chinese print teaching system" has different meanings.How do we look at the impact of the social art phenomenon on the college at that time? Under this impact,what are the positive significance and what are the parts worthy of reflection in the development of the teaching work of the printmaking department.
