Zhang Qixian was asenior officialactive in the period of Emperor Taizong and Zhenzong of Song Dynasty.Zhang Qixianbecame an officerthrough the imperial examination of the second year of Taipingxingguo.Floating and sinking in the official seas for thirties years,Zhang Qixian was an important witness and participant in the early Song Dynasty.Zhang Qixian had a rich career.This paper combs the specific situation of Zhang Qixian's official transfer and assignment change in different periodsand analyzes the relationship between Zhang Qixian's official assignment change and court politics.This article summarizes Zhang Qixian'smain achievements in the areas of military,economy and law,including fighting against with Liao Dynasty,proposing the policy of "building a union with ethnic minorities to resist Xia",reforming the coinage casting method,and prosecuting the extending legal punishment,etc.Zhang Qixian's political activities were rooted in the actual situation and problems faced by the military and economic fields at that time,adapting to the objective requirements of social governance in the early Song Dynasty,promoting the construction of military and legal systems.Zhang Qixian had been an official for more than 30 years.During those years,heestablished different connections with his colleaguesand built his own interpersonal circle and network.The relationship between Zhang Qixian and his colleagues was influenced by many factors,for example,Zhang Qixian'scharacter and style,the region,the imperial examination,the politics,and political interests.On the basis of sorting out Zhang Qixian's social interactions,this paper takes Zhang Qixian as the starting point to observe the courtiers and court politics in the Taizong and Zhenzong dynasty.
